In reply to: [Create Block Theme] Export theme, override and updateJust curious, why would you not want to create a child theme to preserve you customizations?

In reply to: [Create Block Theme] Great at making a child theme ALMOST as easy as 123 :)Now it’s actually as easy as 1. Just a single step. Try using the current version of CBT and using the site editor to access the CBT choices instead of the soon to be deprecated Dashboard interface. The latest version not only creates a Child Theme for you but automatically switches your active theme to the new child theme. No longer do you need to download a zip and then upload and activate that new child theme. Works great for me, though it still doesn’t import any custom CSS you have in the parent theme customizer, you have to copy and paste that manually.

In reply to: Don’t Save Style Variation after changing Global StylesUse the Create Block Theme plugin (from www.ads-software.com) in addition to creating a child theme, you can save a style variation with your current customizations. That shows up in the standard style variations. Then you can customize that and save another variation, etc. No easy UI to delete a variation as far as I can tell.

In reply to: [Create Block Theme] Font-Managment broken in 6.3Problem solved. WP RC2, Gutenberg 16.9.0 (probably irrelevant to this issue), CBT 1.13.3.
Adding both Google Fonts and Local Fonts work as expected. Font files get added to the theme root/assets/fonts/ directory, and the theme.jason gets updated, AND the added fonts show up in the styles UI (albeit at the bottom of the list instead of alphabetical order) in the typography>font family menus, both in global styles and in typographic blocks like paragraph, heading, etc.
If you add the fonts to the parent theme and then create a child theme, the added fonts are not available. I created the child theme, then added the fonts in the child theme and they work as expected.
Glad to have this functionality working again. It makes life a whole lot easier.

In reply to: [Create Block Theme] Font-Managment broken in 6.3I have noticed the same problem since WP 6.3, using the Create Block Theme Manage Fonts in a previously created child theme I can select the Google Font, have it added to the child theme, the font files show up in the /assets/fonts/ directory and in theme.jason, BUT those fonts do not show up in the global styles typography drop down menus, nor in individual block typography settings menus. In other words the fonts seem to be there, but are not selectable or usable on the site.

In reply to: [Blockbase] Where is the change logThanks Sarah,
Everything is moving so quickly now I find it important to check the changelogs when updating WP, Gutenberg, the theme, and the block plugins to discover 1) what’s new and 2) what’s fixed and where the changes are coming from. Having easy access to the changelogs helps a lot. Having a link to the changelog on the theme panel once installed, and/or on the WP theme repository page would be nice.

In reply to: [Reusable Blocks Extended] no longer creates patterns with WP 5.9.3 updateYES!!! It’s working again with WP6.0-RC3.
Converted from Reusable Blocks Extended shows up again in the dropdown list of Patterns, this time at the top of the list just after the Featured blocks.
It’s good to have this functionality back.
I haven’t tried it with the latest version of Gutenberg plugin since I have that deactivated while running the WP-RC versions (didn’t work with RC2, now works with RC3)

In reply to: [Reusable Blocks Extended] no longer creates patterns with WP 5.9.3 updateThe problem now exists with the Gutenberg plugin deactivated, but using WorePress 6.0 RC-2.
When trying to insert a Block Pattern in a post, the patterns created by the Reusable Blocks Extended plugin are not displayed in the Patterns dropdown menu.
Are you going to respond to this issue? Have you abandoned this plugin?

In reply to: [Reusable Blocks Extended] no longer creates patterns with WP 5.9.3 updateActually it’s not WP 5.9.3 it’s Gutenberg plugin Version 13.0.0 that’s causing the problem. Turned off all my plugins and then back on one-by-one until the problem occured.
With the Gutenberg plugin deactivated, the converted Block Patterns shows up at the bottom of the dropdown Patterns menu. With the Gutenberg plugin activated the Converted from Reusable Blocks menu selection is missing.
Hope you can fix this, since I rely on the Gutenberg plugin to get the pre-release features I use for my FSE projects.

In reply to: [Reusable Blocks Extended] no longer creates patterns with WP 5.9.3 updateI’m having the same problem. May be related to WP 5.9.3 update?
Also doesn’t work exporting Templates, Template Parts, and settings from Alara FSE theme to Twenty Twenty Two theme on the same site. Is the plugin not able to do this?
I activated Alara theme, exported using your plugin, then switched to Twenty Twenty Two and imported the file. None of the Templates or Template Parts showed up.
I’m trying to transition from using Genesis + Beaver Builder Themer to FSE for simpler sites. Twentig looks like it will be helpful filling the missing controls in the core blocks. But a lot of functionality available with Twenty Twenty-one is missing with Twenty Twenty-two.
Will ver. 1.4 support Twenty Twenty-two? Or do I have to wait for some future version?
I’m starting several projects this week with Twenty Twenty-two, and like many folks am wondering when you will have the full support for the new default theme? I’d rather use Twentig then several other plugins to get some of the same functionality!

In reply to: [Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks] Conflict with WP Forms (Backend only)Interesting I’ve found the same problem, but this time a conflict with Real Media Library plugin that’s throwing the identical error. So whatever fix was made to solve WP Forms didn’t fix the underlying problem.
Here’s my bug report: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/conflict-with-real-media-library-plugin/
I just realized that. I unchecked the whole page setting and it works perfectly. Thanks for the feedback.
