Indeed this should be included. It was there in older versions but alas somehow not available in current versions. it’d be a great help if the developer be kind enough to reinstate core file backups.

Already did that sir but no avail. This happens not only in one site but in all of our sites. Can’t be a plugin issue since it works fine when wp is downgraded.

@threadi has covered all the essentials. Permit me to add my 2 cents. Prey create a backup of the database and wp directory using a plugin or manually and host the backup in your localhost and try updating the wp core , themes and plugins. if any plugins are unsupported prey find alternatives. Also upgrade your PHP version to the latest.
