In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] users missinggood to hear and good question.
right now, everything is bundled into the pro version for a few specific reasons but that might change.
if this is for a particular project, do drop us a line over at paupress.com and let us know what you’re thinking. we’re currently evaluating a number of factors and we can give you a more substantive reply via email if you’re interested.
thank you!

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] users missingno, they’re there!
PauPress does take over the user area by design so, you are probably seeing the search interface when you click on users. Simply clicking on “search” will run a query for all usrs and you will see them appear.
We have a few improvements planned there for our coming 2.0 release very soon.
If this doesn’t answer your question, do let me know.

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] Manage User Field from Buddypress Xprofilehi Farid,
thanks for your question.
All PauPress user fields are stored in the wp_usermeta table, which is preferred by the MetaData API. BuddyPress stores their data in their own tables as you’ve noted.
We do have a migration tool in beta that allows you to move your BuddyPress profile data to the wp_usermeta table and manage the profiles in PauPress but it doesn’t sync them so, you would have to decide to either use BuddyPress or PauPress.
We have thought about allowing PauPress to target BuddyPress data sources for ongoing management but that’s not on our immediate roadmap.
That said, we do take on custom development engagements and if you are interested in that, please let us know using the contact form at paupress.com and we’ll followup directly with you over email.
Of course, happy to continue refining or answering your questions here too.

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] Looks Promisinghi there.
thank you for posting! can you clarify what you mean by:
it allows them access to everything the Admin sees.
Currently, the plugin does allow you to add the capabilities necessary to view and modify users but it does not allow them access to modify settings and some restrictions do apply (for example, an Editor would not be able to modify a user role).
Understanding what you are hoping to limit would be helpful. Get back to me when you can!

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] Problem with drop down listhi Neil,
did you replace “&” in the key or the label for the dropdown list? Just want to be sure I’m following your exact path. Soon as I know I can test and confirm/explain for you as needed.
thanks!

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] How to delete a user in this free version?my pleasure.
right now all preferences related to PauPress (custom fields, options, etc.) are saved in the wp_options table with the keyword “paupress” being part of the option name. all profile data is stored in the usermeta table.
all preferences are deleted from wp_options but all profile data is retained in the usermeta table. this is done because that data can be used by other plugins effectively.

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] How to delete a user in this free version?hi again mpek,
to delete a user in the free version, you should enable the default WordPress user view located in the “Users” tab under the PauPress menu (wp-admin/admin.php?page=paupress_options&tab=paupress_user_settings)
we intentionally made this difficult to do via PauPress after extensive user testing. That said, in our next release cycle, this will be a lot easier to do directly in PauPress with additional (albeit user-friendly) safety controls.
as far as uninstalling PauPress, you simply need to delete the plugin and it will remove the preferences from your WordPress installation. Your user data, however, will remain.
hi mpek,
thanks for the question and forgive the delay in getting back to you. our autoresponder feature is currently in development and slated for release in the coming weeks.
we have an updates signup on paupress.com if you’d like to keep up with our development.
thanks!

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] Password storagehi o-leary,
thanks for posting! this is definitely something we’ve come across more than once.
what I do know is that for this approach to be completely effective, there are multiple layers to consider including the host itself. we are in the process of exploring this sort of service via the plugin but we’re a bit away from it.
i’m not sure what your timeline is but we’ll definitely post something about this to our email list when it’s closer to release so, you’re welcome to sign up for updates at paupress.com

In reply to: [PauPress - A CRM for WordPress] Lacks some featuresThank you for taking the time to post a review!
Would you mind sharing what features you find to be lacking?
hi there.
thank you for the kind words and the suggestion. we’ll be adding support for multisite in the near future to include several options for managing users across a network. Depending on how we roll this out, the functionality you’re requesting we might make available to the basic version here in the repository.
I’m going to close this out for now but will certainly update our feature list here when we have more details on multisite. Please do let me know if I can answer any other questions.
