@enigmatik2 thank you for taking the time to share your experience and leave us this review! Thrilled to hear that our amazing Support team was able to help get you fixed up. We’re thrilled to have you as a customer!
Hi @juliarrr
This issue with the Multi-Form Goal block and shortcode has been resolved! The fix came out with version 3.1.0 of GiveWP.
Before taking any steps for troubleshooting or updating, I highly recommend taking a good backup of the site you can confidently restore from. Having a backup of your site is essential to a solid workflow, and will allow you to restore to a previous version of the site if you run into any issues. You can read more about our top recommendations for taking a backup here: https://givewp.com/backup-for-faster-troubleshooting/
Once you have a good backup in place, I recommend updating to the latest version (3.1.1) and testing again.
If you bump into any issues or if there are questions I can answer, I’ll be more than happy to help!Hi @westaubrey,
Happy to help here. Glad you were able to roll back to 3.0.1 and get to your dashboard!
I’m working to investigate this and see if I can replicate the error somehow. By any chance are you using the Elementor page builder? I looked at your site and don’t see evidence of it, but we are working on a known issue that involves Elementor so I just wanted to confirm.
One thing that would be a huge help so that we can diagnose what happened on your site would be the details for the error you encountered. The “There has been a critical error on your website” message is a WordPress system-generated error message that means something has caused a PHP fatal error. Whenever you see that message, it means that a more detailed error log has been sent to the main admin email address (which you can configure at Settings > General in the main WordPress settings).Check that email, and then pass along any error messages you are getting, and we’ll be able to help.
If you did not receive an email or if you don’t have access to it, your site’s PHP error logs for today should contain the details.
(If you don’t know how to get error logs you can use the Fatal Error Notify plugin, but after activating it you’ll have to trigger the error again to see it. This would mean updating the plugin, then rolling it back again, which may not be ideal for you.) Sometimes that doesn’t work so you can ask your host where to find the PHP error logs on the server, then copy/paste the relevant error in your reply here.
Looking forward to helping you get this resolved!- This reply was modified 1 year, 1 month ago by David G. Johnson.
Hi @juliarrr
We’ve investigated this and found that using the
ids
parameter with the Multi-Form Goal Shortcode with GiveWP 3.0.1 disrupts the editor for the page/post containing the shortcode, and prevents the page/post from displaying properly.I’ve escalated this to our development team so they can work on a fix. You can follow up on the progress of the fix here: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/multi-form-goal-shortcode-ids-parameter-breaks-editor-in-givewp-30
We are actively tracking user issues to make sure our dev team is aware of them and can get them fixed. You can use the link to check in for updates or to provide additional details of your own.
Give the post above a look, and let me know if you would like me to add any additional details. I want to ensure your need is as accurately reflected as possible. While I’ve already attached this support topic and relevant details to that feedback post internally, I’d be happy to include an internal note to our teams with any additional specific information you would like them to have.
The workaround, for now, would be to avoid using theids
parameter with the Multi-Form Goal Shortcode or to restore a backup of your website to a point before GiveWP 3.0.While we work on a fix, feel free to message us if you have further questions or need any additional assistance!
Ps. I’ll mark this ticket as resolved because we found out what is wrong. As soon as a fix for it is released, I’ll update you all here.

In reply to: [NK Google Analytics] Error – Please fix in next updateThanks @giangel84 — adding the

symbol to that line of code solved the problem for me. I appreciate you sharing that code change!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Better YOURLS] TokenNot necessarily. The requirements for YOURLS are very similar to WordPress itself. If it supports PHP and MySQL, there should be no problem running the software on your host.

In reply to: [Better YOURLS] TokenI think there may be a bit of confusion. The WordPress plugin you’re referring to is simply a connector between WordPress and the YOURLS software. You’ll need to download and install an instance of the YOURLS system to handle the URL shortening. Then the plugin you’ve got installed will connect to that instance.
Please visit https://yourls.org/ for details about downloading and installing YOURLS.
I hope this is helpful!

In reply to: [Better YOURLS] Token@daveburtonwilliams do you have the software from yourls.org installed as well?

In reply to: [Better YOURLS] TokenHey @ohsnap —
For your domain where you have the YOURLS software installed (assuming that it’s installed in the root of that domain), you can go to
hxxps://yourdomain.com/admin/tools.php
(you’ll have to sign in if you aren’t already signed in, of course), look for the section labeled: “Secure passwordless API call”.The second paragraph in that section should begin with:
Your secret signature token:
…and your token will be the next thing on that line.
Hope this helps!
(If you don’t have your own instance of the YOURLS software installed, that’s definitely where you’ll want to start.)

In reply to: [Better YOURLS] Posts fail to publish if using the Gutenberg pluginAh HA! That’s why I always get the “Publishing Failed” message in Gutenberg, even though it actually didn’t fail!
(In my case, publishing is actually successful. But the message is mildly irritating.)
