In reply to: [Public Post Preview] Compatibility with Gutenberg@ocean90 – First, thanks for the excellent plugin. Love it!
Now that 4.9.8 is out and we’re all testing Gutenberg, is it possible we might be closer to being able to implement this? Thanks!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Public Post Preview; Special characters@designsimply I found an existing support topic related to Gutenberg compatibility for the Public Post Preview plugin. The developer responded a few months ago that an API to extend the sidebar (in Gutenberg) had not yet been finalized. I’ve added a comment to it to ask for an update.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Public Post Preview; Special charactersPublic Post Preview is a lifesaver for showing content to people who can’t log in to WordPress as a user. We use it with clients who either shouldn’t be permitted anywhere near the WordPress editor or who can’t be bothered to keep track of another username/password.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function!I’ve been getting blank screens in the Gutenberg editor on one of my sites any time that Yoast SEO was activated.
I found the same errors that @pedrorafael listed (above) in my JavaScript console on the “edit” screen (the Gutenberg editor, not the “classic” / visual editor).
Because the errors seemed to be coming from Yoast, I have long assumed that Yoast was the source of the problem. The errors went away with Yoast deactivated, as did the blank screen in Gutenberg (in other words, Gutenberg loaded and worked normally with Yoast deactivated).
After following the advice given by @mazedulislamkhan above, I was able to narrow this down to a plugin conflict between Yoast, Gutenberg, and the Adsense Manager plugin.
Now, with Adsense Manager deactivated, Gutenberg & Yoast both work as expected.
For anyone dealing with Gutenberg problems and Yoast, consider checking to see if you are using the Adsense Manager plugin as that may be the combination that produces these errors.

I’m not seeing an error today when I load the site’s home page. Is this issue resolved for you?
Thanks!

In reply to: comment_form() fields being displayed only for non logged in usersHi Aimee,
Apologies for the delayed response… I’ve been traveling.
Yes, you are correct. All users will be “logged out” unless and until a user account is created for them in your WordPress installation. So, if you are the only user with an account, then no one else will be logged in.
Does that help you?
Thanks!

In reply to: comment_form() fields being displayed only for non logged in usersHi Aimee,
OK just so I understand correctly, you’d like the comment box itself to remain as it is for logged-out users (so that the other fields display to its right-hand side), but when the user is logged-in, you’d like the box to occupy 100% of the available space.
Is that correct?
Incidentally, looking at this blog post just now, the 3 fields (author, email & website) are to the left, and the comment box is to the right. Perhaps this is the way you want things to display for logged-out users? (I’m obviously logged out, as I don’t have a user account on the site.)
Sorry if this is confusing — I’m just trying to make sure I understand exactly what you want to accomplish. We’ll get you there!
Thanks!

In reply to: WP serving larger images that requiredHi Ian,
After visiting your site (https://theemeraldemporium.co/), it looks like you’re using WooCommerce to facilitate your product listings.
It may be worth checking into your “Product Images” settings (see this article in the WooCommerce documentation for details) to see if 450×450 is selected. If so, your theme’s settings and/or CSS settings may be overriding the display size by forcing the browser to display a scaled version of the image.
There may be significant ramifications to changing that setting, so it may be worthwhile to review the documentation in detail to make sure that’s what you want to do before making any changes. Also, the WooCommerce documentation mentions that there is a need to use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin after changing the setting, otherwise the change will only apply to new products added after the change.
I hope this helps! If you find that you have follow-up questions after checking this out, let me know and I’ll do my best to help.
Cheers!

In reply to: Image file name reverting to previous file name when uploadingHi there!
Are you still using this plugin?
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/media-file-renamer/If so, try deactivating that plugin to see if the behavior changes.
I hope this helps! Please let me know. Thanks!

In reply to: tinymce is not definedHi there!
It looks like there’s a configuration problem affecting the loading of this file:
https://taxask.vn/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/compat3x/plugin.js?ver=4603-20170530When I try to visit that URL in my browser, the web server is redirecting to:
https://localhost/compat3x/plugin.js?ver=4603-20170530Is it possible that your siteurl (Settings -> General) is set to
localhost
instead of totaxask.vn
?If not, perhaps a redirect exists in an .htaccess file or other configuration setting on your webserver.

In reply to: Images uploading blurryHi Emma,
I’m sorry you’re having some trouble! In order to provide the most useful help to you, it might be helpful for us to see an example of what you’re describing. It would be ideal if you could provide a link to the site.
Since you say your site hasn’t launched yet, does this mean that it isn’t currently publicly visible via a link?
If that’s the case, are you able to provide a link to a screenshot?
Thanks!

In reply to: comment_form() fields being displayed only for non logged in usersHi Aimee,
I’ll do what I can to help you here. If I understand correctly, you’d like to prompt your logged-in site visitors to provide information each time they comment, is that correct?
The behavior you’re describing (not showing these fields to logged-in users) is the default WordPress behavior. If I’m not mistaken, the thinking is that the users have provided at least some of this information (e.g. email address is a required field) upon creation of their user account for your site.
Is there something you’re hoping to achieve by prompting them each time they comment?
Thanks!
