Hello, sorry I am late with my answer.

I’ve thought about it again and think it can stay as it is.

It is not a memory problem. I have larger uploads from time to time by users some are then very generous with large files.

I usually use the max pixel size of 4000px and a minimum of 2000 to get good results on 4K monitors in competitions. And that’s ok.

However, from time to time only max 2K should be allowed, but then I will temporarily change the setting.

You don’t need to adjust the software for these rare cases.

    Best regards
    Horst

Only for frontend should be enough, I give uploads to the user only via a page.

To limit the size of the long edge, 2000px for example, should be a good option. If it is also possible to set the max. filesize (1MB, 2MB, ..) this where nice to have.

    A load off my mind.
I can still finish the competition on Wednesday and present the result.

    Everything works after the reinstallation.

    Thank you

    Super and many thanks.
I have installed the hotfix and everything is ok!

I’m always amazed at how quickly you respond and create a solution.

Thank you very much. It works as desired! I am always impressed by your support and how quickly you implement changes and requests in the software.

However, I noticed one thing: when installing the plugin, the message “Replace current version” did not appear, but was installed as a stand-alone plugin. I deactivated the beta …8.6.01 and activated 8.6.01.004. Everything works…

best wishes for the coming x-mas holidays and the new year

That will be great. So they can find and edit the images.

I think the types: slide and thumbs are useful.

This would really make it easier for users to maintain the gallery, as users should regularly post new photos. However, they themselves decide which photos are suitable.

Yes, that was what I did.
    [wppa type=”slide” album=”#tags,Galerie”] is ok!

[wppa type=”slide” album=”#tags,#me,Galerie”] no photo find in search.

I have tried it with several users. The photos are of course in the gallery.

    Ok, thank you very much
it probably seems to be due to the network or Strato temporarily. I am in contact with them. At the moment it is running normally again.

    Hello Jacob,
no problem, I’ve had a lot on my plate these days.
This morning I was able to install the beta and found no problems. The way the contest-display looks now, it works!

The shortcut is also useful for the rating, which saves the definition in the album setting.

Our contest will start soon and I’m looking forward to the judges’ feedback.

Many thanks for the quick and perfect implementation!

    Best regards

    OK, that looks pretty good.
Only the name of the juror (Rater, Bewerter)should be visible in the evaluation so that the raters can then agree on the order of placement.

    Example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14bt0tzcqko0Q7f-r_Pt116jibnJlK2Nn/view?usp=sharing

The names of the raters have been anonymised for data protection reasons.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes I know that the provider can set this in PHP, but I was hoping for an option in WPPA.
OK, but can live with it….

    Thanks for the reply.
I have reconsidered and think it is better to do it manually as before.
It would be too many adjustments for this workflow and for that I don’t see the effort justified at the moment.

    The request can be closed.

    OK, thanks for the info.

I’ll take another look at the Ajax topic and then open a new topic. The admin doesn’t do any competitions anyway, or who gets their own user account.

The display between slideshow and thumbnails works so far. I didn’t have that at the ready. Thank you.
But you can’t control the ratings like that, can you? I haven’t seen any buttons there.
But that wouldn’t be a problem, because I only activate the ratings (via album settings) after the upload has been completed and the users no longer have access to the album afterwards.

    Thank you for now

    one more question:

In the album description I have RATING=yes. How can I prevent the rating information from being suppressed in the thumbnails?
BASIC settings -> Ratings : 2 not activated
    But Rating is still displayed.

    Thread Starter haween

    (@haween)

No, I had already tried that.

When I call the slideshow/album as admin, I don’t see the already made ratings of the other users. Also, as an admin, I can’t edit or delete the photos that were uploaded in the frontend. When I click on the button there is no reaction.

Can that have a problem with Ajax and any rights to do.
I also had a problem when uploading as admin. I had to set for the admin upload at the frontend the setting: Adv.Setting > Users > 5.1 to 2:Extend. Otherwise the upload fails. Normal users had no problem.

Likewise, I had to recreate some albums because the field displays were not correct here either. But the problem seems to be solved.

I use UM as user management, could this be related?
