None of the fixes seem to work for me. Or I should say it works but causes all sorts of other formating errors in the process. I’m using an otherwise empty child theme pointing to an unaltered twenty fourteen mother.

Isn’t it enough to just add the suggested changes to the child theme’s style.css?
