@groundskeepper THANK YOU for the post. I dug into the issue on my end and was able to resolve it by updating the apache server mod security rule. I don’t understand what this rule is or how you change it, but I sent in a support ticket to my hosting company, and they seemed to know what to do.
For those of you interested, below is the exact wording of my support ticket. Feel free to copy and paste:

I am trying to configure the Google Analytics by Yoast (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/) WordPress plugin. The plugin fails to authenticate with Google Analytics. It as been suggested the issue may be related to apache server mod security rule. I am not familiar with this. Would you happen to know where the authentication issues lie? When I try to authenticate the plugin my WordPress site returns a 404.
——————————————————–I am having a similar however I get a 404 when trying to save the profile. The plugin is returning this page: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=yst_ga_settings.
Has a solution been found?
