Hi, I setup a test site and only enabled the SEO Optimized Images and Wpematico plugin. I use Wpematico to pull posts from my RSS feeds to post on the site.

I just imported a new post and the image in the post shows up without the ALT text. It should have been the “Post Title” https://www.content.fantasticworkouts.com/2018/04/27/the-health-benefits-of-learning-to-love-yourself/147f2a2c44cab63ef3e39d2e6e7e/

Hi Eturel,

I am having the same problem. The featured image does not show up after the update.

Fortunately I have a site that is still at version Wpematico 1.9.0 and the featured images are fine there. But all sites which have been updated to 1.9.2 have the problem.

Same problem here.
All I get is “Step 2/7: retrieving metadata from index [1/7201]”.

Also is there a way to remove the plugin completely and all the data associated with it? I have seen that when I deactivate – delete the plugin and the add the plugin back again, the indexing I had done a few years ago show up again. Maybe the old data is causing the current run to fail. So is there a way to remove the plugin completely?

Thanks Mitchell. I agree. I was about to report the same problem.
Unneeded cron jobs can overwhelm the site/system.

It appears that WP CRON was the problem. I used define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); as defined in https://wp-mix.com/wordpress-cron-not-working/ to fix the issue. It appears to be running fine now. It was a problem on all my sites hosted by Ipage.com only (Hostgator and 1and1 sites were unaffected).

Not sure what could have caused this to happen or if it was something caused by hosting but its fixed now.

Yes I did:
1) Saved the campaign
2) Deactivated and reactivated the plugin
3) Removed Wpematico and reinstalled it from the wordpress plugin page
4) Tuned off all plugins and kept them off and only kept wpematico running
5) Same problem. Also the “Last run” Time does not increment once the time has past

The timeout problems appears to have gone away this morning. Maybe it was just a temporary hiccup. Thanks Esteban
