Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] Action Scheduler – Past Due ActionsHi there,
Sorry for the late reply, the email notifying me of your reply automatically went into the spam folder. Apologies!
The issue is not yet resolved, I am struggling a bit. I have had the following increased: PHP Post Max Size and PHP Time Limit to the figures you suggested as above. Unfortunately issue persists.
Having installed the WP Crontrol plugin, I receive the following error:
There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:
Unexpected HTTP response code: 401
I understand that a 401 is an unauthorised error, however I am unsure why this is. Both I and the server manager cannot find anything that requires credentials that should be stopping this from happening…. therefore I am stuck on what to try next.
If helpful, please see an updated system status report here (GitHub Gist page).
I appreciate all your help with this matter.
Everyone,
This issue has now been resolved.
I could not find a fix, and I didn’t know if it as an issue with the plugins, web server, cache, theme, WP installation etc…
The last resort that I had available was to re-install WordPress, which I have done. The issue now seems to have been resolved.
So to everyone who is experiencing the problem of “Editing Homepage In WP Block Editor, But Page Not Updating On The Actual Website” then the way I found a fix was to re-install WordPress.
Hope this is useful, and thanks to those who left suggestions on the comment thread.

Well,
It wasn’t a great end on this one!
My server hosting provider also has no idea why this is happening. I gave them an administrator login on the site yet they couldn’t troubleshoot the issue either.
Earlier today, I took a backup of the site – so now I reckon my last and final option is to re-install WordPress and import it. If that doesn’t work, I have no clue what to do.
I’d like to thank @ethicalimran for your help.
Not sure what to do with this thread now, as it’s not “resolved” as of present. That’s why I’ll leave it open for the moment and I’ll post the result – because maybe then I’ll have the answer on how to fix it?
Thanks all!
Hi @ethicalimran.
By Guternburg Editor do you mean the WP block editor? Or is it something completely separate?
I did see this plugin quite a lot on the WP Plugin Library, so is this necessary for the Guternberg Editor to work?
Apologies for my lack of knowledge in this area of WordPress. It was working fine then, bam!
My website is being hosted by someone I know (so no major hosting providers!) who has given me a server login, but I am not a full system administrator. By this, I mean that I can edit stuff with my website and mailboxes, and have access to Shell; but there’s no apparent “flush cache” option. I’m not sure if there is a backend way to flush the cache, but if it’s useful, they’re using ISP Config. I can get in touch with them to see if they know how to flush the cache, especially as they are the server admin? If this is a server-side issue.
Thanks again for your help.
Hi @ethicalimran,
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve tried with both of these plugins and both have said that they have removed the cache from some pages but the issue is still occurring.
I’m not sure why this is happening, as I’ve tried every way possible to flush the cache of the site; but it has continued to not change!
This unfortunately brings me on to have you got any other suggestions to fix this?
Thanks for your time and advice!
