i think i made the .htaccess file because now it’s not showing these thing anymore.

but i still i can’t access members,activity,groups etc by clicking on the link.it redirects to https://err.000webhost.com… is there anything i have to install to view these (like plugins or something else) or its not working bcause im using free plan…

Looks like your .htaccess file is not writable so wordpress is giving you the code to add to .htaccess file you can do that using ftp or server and look for hidden file.
i used filezilla ftp client.but i dont know how shud i do that.can’t find any .htaccess it shows only these on root directory.

Here’s how i did that.
first go to theme editor for editing ‘Main Index Template
(index.php) then find the following code>>>

‘the_content()
and change it to
the_excerpt()
That’s it

im facing another problem govpatel.its about registration.i checked it ‘anyone can register’ and in the registration process password is not being sent to mail i entered.but it shows ‘check your mail for password’ after clicking register button.even i double checked my mail inbox and spam box(i used gmail).

oh there was a mistake.i pressed the wrong key so didnt work.
but now i can see ‘Read the rest of this entry’ below the post i edited.
but i want ‘Read the rest of this entry’ automatically below every post without doing this (what you said) after showing 3 or 4 lines of post.

and i want that option because that blog im making is going to be a public blog where all people are allowed to post.and i think people are not going to do that to add ‘Read the rest of this entry’ and they just
publish it and it will look bad..

but i cant see any courser flashing thing on the post editor after having a left click where i wanted ‘read more’ button. when i clicked the ‘Alt+Shift+T’ i think its for making my post text ‘right align’ because
‘right align’ button gets activated when i press ‘Alt+Shift+T’
