IMHO, this thread is not practically reflecting the free version of FileBird. However, as a FileBird Pro license holder, I used to have quite the same issue.

As far as I’m concerned, the FileBird plugin author also sells through Envato/CodeCanyon under a third-party contract. Had Envato provided such an update system as?www.ads-software.com?does, we’d still rather not do the direct update, but try on staging first.

In my org, we would create a shared internal folder allowing access to all employees involved. When a new version is rolled out, the account holder would put the latest version there, of course appropriately rename it to its very own version number. Therefore, the people-in-charge in the website just carry on and do their job. They would need the approval of version update from the account holder anyway.

Easier said than done. I agree that this update system is not really suitable for larger orgs. But the plugin is so great and their support was top notch, my company still sticks to it, considering the affordable lifetime license.

Again, that’s my 2 cents. But tbh the plugin is keeping up their good work ??

@kabeza I’ve used FileBird document library plugin to publish those filetypes, pdf/docx/xlsx etc. It’s free. But of course before doing that, you gotta put them in folder-wise organization. I think this can be handled by FileBird core plugin too. You can import a big folder with nested folders into WordPress Media Library. It will also keep your folder structure.

I was on their Basic plan (Woosuite Variation Swatches)
but it didn’t seem to allow Additional Variation Gallery, although the options still show up in the product settings.
