I’m using the Vantage theme and this worked for me

Go to Appearance –> Theme Settings and then scroll down to the 3rd section HOME. Select Stretch — Stretch the home page slider to the width of the screen if using the full width layout.

Actually, I couldn’t figure out how to get away from full width and just stumbled on this setting.

I was having a similar issue. That’s why I’m even in the forum today. My Home page slider pics were freaking enormous regardless of what size I made them. I tried several settings to no avail but I just found this. If you are using the Vantage theme go to Appearance –> Theme Settings and then scroll down to the 3rd section HOME. DESELECT Stretch — Stretch the home page slider to the width of the screen if using the full width layout.
Now everything seems to be working properly.

The reasoning behind hiding the pages is 1. We’re trying to cultivate a specific kind of customer so I don’t to attract coupon only kinds of customers and so don’t want it out there for just anybody. 2nd is tracking. See what marketing people are actually looking at.

I’m using Vantage Premium. Menu creation? Whatever is built in. I have no idea how to do anything further.

Thanks Randy I’ll check those in a bit when I get home. I also found a plugin — Exclude or include Pages, Tags, Posts & Categories (integrate with WiziApp) that is supposed to be compaitible up to 4.2.2. Don’t use Wiziapp so hoping that won’t be an issue.

This is what I figured out. I ran an update for Bulletproof Security plugin but failed to reactivate it. This caused the secured htaccess file to be inaccessible. When BPS is installed it deletes the info in the regular htaccess file and relocates it to their secure file. Once reactivated all the 404 errors stopped. The -2 stayed. I have not been able to get rid of that in spite of the fact that I never used that page name on anything else or as a post and yes the trash was checked. So I just changed url and kept on trucking.

Same thing happened to me except for $49. I just saw another posting that said they are getting contact info via the whosis look up and soliciting with that. searched fixrunner

And now… wonder of wonders… the WP generated url/slug is going to 404 page not found.

I am still getting a bunch of spam through my info/inquiry/contact form. Supposedly the spam filter is built in. I can’t see paying to upgrade if the basic features don’t work as advertised. Might be time to find another form plug in.
