WordPress does not recognise my username, Healthy-Holiday. I know this is correct because I received the following email:

    Your username is: Healthy-Holiday
    Your password is: (deleted)
You can now log in: https://www.ads-software.com/support/
    Enjoy!

My host, HostPapa, say they have completed their work because my blog, healthy-holiday.org, is live. They say it is the responsibility of WordPress to help me log in correctly.

What do you suggest I do? From my point of view it seems there has been an error on the side of WordPress when setting up my blog.

Surely if I provide my account number WordPress can confirm my username?

If this can not be resolved please tell me how I can make a formal complaint.

Those links haven’t helped me; I don’t understand any of the first one, the second isn’t relevant as it’s my username that is unrecognised and the third one is confusing – how do I log in to phpmyadmin? How do I check my wp- config file? I don’t know what that is!

Can I talk to someone? Or can wordpress confirm my username via email? Please help – it’s been nearly a week since I paid and I’ve spent a lot of money setting up my blog.

Can someone please help? I can’t use the new blog I’ve paid for as I can’t log in!

When I try to log in, it also doesn’t recognise my email address, so I can’t get a new password either. I’m sure I have the right email address!

Thanks for such a quick response.

I thought wordpress.com was free yet basic and www.ads-software.com was paid-for but more flexible?

If I choose wordpress.com I’m asked to pick a domain name such as healthy-holiday.org, which I have to pay for, but I already have it!

And if I choose www.ads-software.com I’m asked to choose a host like Dreamhost (I’d rather ipage but this doesn’t seem to be an option), which I also have to pay for.

Can you please advise? I don’t want to pay for the same thing twice when I don’t have to.
