Sorry for the bother… I actually figured out that it was a problem with my feedburner account/feed address. I ended up deleting and recreating a feedburner account/link/feed. It’s working now so I can keep the +follow tab, but for future reference or if others are interested, I’d still be happy to know if and how deleting this tab is a possibility.
