I spent a good part of the day trying to get everything working and I’ve run into a few issues that I hope can be solved.

To give you just a little background, I had a customer that placed an order and put in the wrong state in both her billing and shipping addresses. Consequently the sales tax was not charged. That is what led me to include an Address Verification plugin, and I really liked that you have both verification, and Autofill.

As I mentioned in another Email, there is a conflict with another plugin. If that’s not solvable, I can live without it.

The other issues however are quite important.

With the Address Verification side of your plugin: If there is an incorrect Shipping Address ( which is the address that triggers the sales tax ), and the customer chooses the corrected address in the popup window, it does not change the sales tax. So unfortunately, that does not solve the problem that started all of this.

With the Address Autocomplete side, the issue comes when the Billing Address is a post office box. If the customer fills out the Autocomplete Address box with a PO Box, it will not populate the necessary address boxes required by Woocommerce, so the customer has to fill out both the Autocomplete Address, and the regular address. That would be a real issue for customers.

I can live with one or the other working, so is there a way to solve either of these issues ?
If you still need my backend site access, please let me know, and I’ll set up a login for you.
If the Premium Version of your plugin solves either of these issues, I’m open to that as well.

Thank you for your help. I found 2 issues that I hope you can help me with.

1) There is a conflict between this plugin and the Checkout Field Editor and Manager for WooCommerce by Acowebs. Is there a way to resolve the conflict ?

2) There is a funny little glitch that affects the sales tax on the Checkout page. If I change the state in the shipping field, it changes the tax correctly, but if I enter an incorrect state, and then correct it in the popup from the Elex plugin, it doesn’t change the tax. Is there a code that can correct that so that when a customer chooses the verified address from the popup, it affects the tax accordingly ?

I misunderstood what you were asking. I set up Flat Rate from your plugin, not Woocommerce shipping. I don’t have their shipping enabled. I’ll need to set it up, and test, and then get back to you. Please keep this open until I can get it checked out.

This is the response I received from the Woocommerce Stripe tech

If the developer would like to send particular questions to us, I can certainly pass them onto the developers, however I cannot guarantee that they will have the time to get involved in fixing bugs in third party plugins.

I checked both options, and it doesn’t matter if the address is entered in the Google Pay popup first or not, the message stays the same.

I contacted the Woocommerce Stripe techs to see if they would be open to contacting you on this. I’ll let you know what they say.

I just had a thought. I wonder if it happened when the Flexible Group was converted to individual. I didn’t test it when I made the changeover, but I bet that’s where the issue is. Can I go back and recreate the group to test it, or have you completely done away with it ?

This is the Google Pay window that opens on both the product pages and checkout page when you click on their button. You can see that the address has been filled in, but the message still shows the shipping cannot be calculated. This is information that Google Pay gets from your plugin. Unfortunately, this was working a few updates back. You have had updates and so has the Woocommerce Stripe plugin, so somewhere the link was broken. Again the shipping works on the regular checkout, it’s just not working with Google Pay. What the Woocommerce Stripe folks said was ” I wish I could assist you in regards to the use of Flexible Shipping by WP Desk. But we don’t provide support for a product that’s developed by 3rd party developer.”
