Does anyone else have any suggestions as to what the issue might be with this particular problem?

    Many thanks for any help!

    Hello,

Thanks for your response but I’m not sure what you mean by “check if you have ticked comments for your posts/pages in the “discussion” box below the editor.”

What is the “editor” and where can I find it?

When I’m on my “Posts” part of my dashboard and I see all of the stories I’ve posted, I clicked on the “screen options” dropdown field and all I see is “Author, Categories, Tags, Comments, Date” and they’re all ticked with a checkmark. When I actually click on a story/post to edit it then click on the “screen options” dropdown field, there are a lot more options, two of which are “discussion” and “comments” both of which are ticked as well. When back on my “Posts” part of my dashboard where I see a list of all my stories, I can click on “Quick Edit” for each post which brings up a few options. One of the boxes to check is “Allow Comments” which is ticked off with a checkmark as well.

And of course in settings>discussion, the “Allow people to post comments on new articles” is also checked.

    I’m stumped. Heh.

agentmoller001, you are truly going above and beyond. Thank you so much. I deleted the old index.html file and I can see the site again.

I realized the issue now is the fact that they were using a drag and drop courtesy template from iPage. I think I just need to figure out how to override that with the template I want to use.

Again, thank you so much. You’ve been a tremendous help, sir!

Stranger and stranger. I just did as you suggested agentmoller001. I found this video here…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQL31otQroQ and I thought that was going to be it.

Now that the contents of my ‘wp’ folder are in the root folder, the ‘customize’ button for the theme (or any theme I active) just comes up with a blank screen with all of the normal menu bars on the left. However, when I go to the site https://allthingselectricinc.net/ it’s still directed towards the old/original site. I tried reinstalling wordpress after the move but that didn’t help either. So I’m not sure how to proceed at this point.
