Thank you so much. Yes, creating the blank page did resolve the issue!
Thank you so much, Michael. I will need to hire a developer for this… do you know where I could find one?

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Breadcrumbs in Elementor not showing CategoriesI did that and it actually got rid of all the category links in all the posts that I fixed – I fixed some by opening them and clicking update… Maybe it will take time? Now it seems that 100% don’t display the categories. I had fixed about 12 but they reverted.
Oh I should note that even when they were fixed they only showed one category but in some cases there should be more than one.

In reply to: [WP Hide Post] Plugin generates errorI have the same issue:
Warning: Parameter 2 to wp_hide_post_Public::query_posts_join() expected to be a reference, value given in /home/***/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286The code needs to be fixed!
OK, I see now that the WordPress comments were disabled on those pages so the entire commenting interface was suppressed. I fixed the problems. Thank you!

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] It didn't work for meHi, thanks for your reply. I see there are reasons and fixes for the various things that were annoying me. Actually there is nothing “wrong” with the plugin per se, it’s really the communication – some simple, straightforward How Tos, just basic communication to address the issues before they arise – would make things go smoothly.
I actually watched the first 3 or 4 tutorial videos – which I think were OK but they never went over the issues I just raised, which seems incomplete to me.
Woocommerce – I just checked – puts up a warning telling you they are creating several new pages on your site “the pages are installed when you click the notice telling you it’s going to do so.” ” the plugin adds new pages when you are setting up (and warns you) ” That irritation was about the lack of any notification that it’s happening. And it would definitely screw up the appearance of one’s website to have these pages listed everywhere pages are listed automatically on the theme. It would not screw up the functionality of the site…
With regard to the possible customization – it would be easy enough to just mention these things in the tutorial videos. Think about it – if everything I brought up had been gone over in the first 3 videos – not gone over in any detail but just mentioned – I would not have deleted it or left a bad review. For example, in the first video that guy should say, “After installation immediately set the new pages to not visible where pages are displayed if they are automatically placed on all your blog pages, otherwise you will have some odd looking pages. Voila, done!” Then, in the next video he could say, ” When we first look at the form, there may be some formatting issues – meaning which fields are showing up, the spaces between things, and the sizes of the fields. This could be due to how your theme is reading the code of the plugin. If you want to change these things, you can using shortcodes and custom css (or whatever it is I’m just learning) which we will instruct you how to address in (say) video 5, or which you can check our documentation for instructions”
And, the same goes for the delete the data. I see why that is valuable but the problem is the lack of communication. You should make it 100% crystal clear somewhere, like on the front page, that if you want to have all data deleted you have to check that box.
I think communication is really important. It’s not just that it helps newbies like me out with stuff, but it just clarifies the step-by-step process for anyone so that you can proceed smoothly from one step to the next.
If I don’t find another working donate plugin, I guess I will have to come back to this one and do all the customization you suggest, and I will already know about the pages and data and be prepared for those things. I will up my rating because I sense that the plugin works fine and you replied quickly clarifying everything and offering prompt support, so very responsive, but – you could communicate better about each of these issues.

In reply to: [Facebook] How do you update to Graph API v2.0?Thanks Chuck. This plugin appears to be working still (without me doing anything), so I’m just leaving it alone for now. It’s hard to figure out which Plugin to use to replace it with since people report problems with all of them. I guess I will replace it if I notice it having problems… or if I can find one that looks relatively problem free I will try it out. Thanks for your answers… Facebook IT people don’t speak regular English. ??

In reply to: [Facebook Comments] How to Switch from Official Facebook Plugin?Hi Alex,
That’s awesome.
There was never any official communication from them about stopping support, but the last resolved support thread was 10 months ago. Also, there are support threads like the following: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/wordpress-is-not-your-enemy-facebook-so-update-and-support-your-plugin
Actually it does say “The plugin is no longer officially supported by Facebook but is maintained by the developer community.” It’s been moved to Github. This means that regular folks who are not developers don’t get support since we have no clue what that even means.
Thanks and I’ll be switching over to you then.

In reply to: [Facebook] How do you update to Graph API v2.0?Does this mean that all my – very important! – comments collected on my blog will not get lost? If so, I am very thankful to you!
Do you think this Plugin will fail one day? I’m very concerned. If you ever have time to write a simple step-by-step “How to save all your comments and switch to (Jetpack or another working Facebook comments Plugin) before the official FB Plugin falls apart” I would be very happy, if you had donate button would donate for your efforts.
I really wish I could use your plugin. I updated – as the option to update appeared today in WP admin. But still there is no settings. I will check from time to time to see if the settings appears one day and I can use it. My other share plugin slows my site, so I need a new one. I hope you get it to work right, it would be great to be able to use it. Take care.
Thank you. That sucks. ??
That link just has a message:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page. You should make it updateable from inside the WP admin panel. Otherwise, I don’t know how to update it…
I think I’m about ready to give up now. It appears that this Plugin has been abandoned – you have no update inside WP, and all the instructions you provide don’t work or are not clear. To me that says the Plugin has been abandoned.
Where exactly does one update it then?
I have a screenshot:
https://postimg.org/image/7s92dur37/You can see it is Activated.
If you want to see my site this is the url https://www.new-synapse.com/aps/wordpress/
Thank you but what you instruct does not seem to be possible.
“please click Share buttons by SoClever on your wp dashboard. You will see register button for SoClever” Nothing happens when I click Share Buttons by SoClever on my wp dashboard. It does not link to anything. Also, there is no Settings link for the Plugin in WordPress – there is no Settings link under the name of the Plugin in the list. There is no Settings link for it in the sidebar, and there is no Settings for it when you click Settings in the sidebar either (the three areas usually where you find Settings). Therefore, there is nothing to click on in the wordpress admin area.
I have created an account at SoClever. There is no place over there to do any of this as far as I can tell either.
