ID number MUST MATCH Fieldxx number

e.g., i called ID number 26 “#REQ_FIELD26”

is there a way to start back from 1? i.e., can i delete the cache, or whatever it’s called, of the ID’s i deleted?

(additional thought: i currently only have a total of 4 form fields i set up, but their ID numbers are 24, 25, 26, 27. could it be that the old form fields are mucking up the new ones even though i deleted 1 through 23?)

i have deleted all the form fields and recreated them, and done that several times, deleted cookies, logged out and back in, did it again. no success.

it worked in the past. the only thing i changed was that i added a fourth SEAT / multiprice. (but that works fine).

Last name, organization, website … don’t have the text fields that i created in “form fields”

oh, and i also tried creating a brandnew event and it doesn’t work there, either.

okay, so if i want to use [email protected] , what changes in the setup? would you give me the text for the smtp and port fields please? then i try it that way. i don’t care if it’s gmail or something else– but gmail were the only instructions i found.

yes. it’s all set up correctly.

i actually uninstalled the plugin, reinstalled it, wrote the events up again, re-did the email settings. doesn’t work. should i change from 25 to 26? should i change the port? i’ve changed my email password, i’ve changed the email account, i have changed the setup of the events, changed the settings, disabled then enabled again …..

what next?

hello again, is this what i’m looking for? i’ve spent a total of 19 hours on this now. if i can’t get this to work and can’t get help, then my frustration is telling me to uninstall. i really don’t want to give up. you probably think i’m stupid. but i’m just not a programmer. just a social activist good at painting banners with acrylic paint. would you PLEASE look into this for me?

nothing there. are we talking about the same thing? i am looking in the log files of the webhost. i can’t see gmail logfiles. sorry, i am not a programmer– is there a tutorial? i’ve spent *hours* googling this and am really despairing. especially because i had it working and didn’t touch the settings when it stopped.

(i mean my wordpress website theme. that is the theme i changed)

i changed the theme.

that’s my only guess. i tested everything and the setup is correct but it cannot log in for some reason (password suits, port 465 is not blocked by firewall)

any suggestions?

enabled. no log files. and i checked the other event once more, and that, too, has stopped sending notifications (but did before, many times over. didn’t touch the settings since then)
