Thank you very much for your answer. I have deactivated the plugin but I am still getting the half of the message that reads..

Could this be to do with a different plugin?

Am also happy to purchase a version of the slider that comes with the theme if necessary to get more slides. I really like the layout of this and other sliders don’t seem to work with the theme properly

Thank you . I’ve got this plug in but where do I find the “head and footer code” section that you describe? Can’t see it. It says its currently untested with my version of wordpress, so could that be the issue?

closing this now. I resolved it by changing my wordpress and cpanel passwords. No more random blogs. Iwas hacked

HI! I have tried adding the code to the style.css file, and it does nothing at all. I’m adding it in the section marked Blog. Any other suggestions? Is there a specific place I should add it? Oh by the way, there is no title showing in style css.

Hi. I wasn’t actually asking about setting a static front page, the issue was as I said that I thought someone had hacked into my site and was posting blog posts on there. They were posts I had not written. It wasn’t the place they were appearing that was the issue, it was the posts and how they got there. I think I’ve now resolved this issue anyway, but, thanks for trying to help though.
