In reply to: Change page background image in Portfolionice site you have
I’m just learning this stuff myself too, so don’t go on a wild goose chase for anything I say, but if no one else responds with a better answer, I’d look into using a “PHP conditional statement”

In reply to: Abandoned Theme & RightsI don’t understand why you can’t install it for your clients with the designer/ code creator’s information in the header anyways.
I’m not a professional web designer myself, but I’ve seen the work of several designers (i.e. not coders) who buy premium themes (that require the names of the code creators to be left in them) and do the design work on top of the code and do not seem to have any issue with leaving the coder’s information in it.
Are you able to charge more if it looks like you’ve done all the work yourself? What’s the benefit for you to removing the info?

In reply to: Abandoned Theme & RightsI have no idea how to fix your problem, but I’m sure someone might ask to see the site if they’re going to be able to tell you how to fix it
i’m curious to see the theme just to see the theme because I’m still looking at different ones, so if you wish to show it:)

In reply to: Edit Header in HTMLif you give the name of your website and specify exactly what you want to change (the header image? the sizing? etc) then people could probably make helpful suggestions
there might be options to customize your header from within the dashboard of your wordpres theme, or you could also go to the template (which might be named Header.php) that holds information about the header (if you’re comfortable playing with the code), or there might even be a header or images file where you could put new header images etc
but need more info

In reply to: centre a div container?thanks, i looked at it and it’s a quite useful, once i figure out how to use it
yeah, i’ve asked questions for multiple sites, but they’re really just work towards one site, i’m just experimenting with CSS and different themes to see which theme is what I want/need and what I can do with it……….yes the extension will help with that
i’m new to these forums and my intial specific questions were very kindly answered by several people

In reply to: centre a div container?i appreciate the recommendation and i will look into it, but I had no idea why you were recommending it… you could answer almost everyone’s post by just telling them to get the web developer extension. that doesn’t really seem like the purpose behind a “support forum”
