First off the team is made of one person at the moment unfortunately, although I encourage anyone to contribute. I even host the plugin on GitHub to make it easier to collaborate.

I would like to work with you one on one to get the plugin working on your site.

the warning is there because you are on a shared host and changing the time limit is disabled.

As for resuming, as long as you have some traffic to your site, it will be done automatically. It might take a while to finish though seing as just 5% was uploaded on the first run. In case you want to do a manual resume just append &retry to the manual backup URI.

You are getting those errors because you’re on a shared host which imposes some limits.

You might want to talk to them to lift the limitations.

All of you experiencing this problem please upgrade to version 2.1.2 and tell me if it fixes it for you.

I would like to fix it but I have no idea how to reproduce it so that I might find what’s wrong.

I have half a dozen websites running this plugin just fine. I have tried installing from scratch by different methods, I tried upgrading, I tried every option in the plugin and all works well at my end.

I even tried contacting a few of you guys to try and find out exactly what’s happening but unfortunately got no response back.

On the Backup settings page click on Screen (top right corner) and select Log File.

The log entries for the last backup will appear on the bottom of the page.

I need something to work with so please paste a log file here. Also tell me if there is anything relevant in the php error log.

What browser are you using? I tested this feature in Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Please update to the latest version of the plugin and see if that works.

If it doesn’t please paste the log file here.

So basically you have to talk to them if you want to run a cron job.

That seems to be a working solution but I don’t recommend modifying WordPress core files.

There should be a folder where you can put the bundle file without the need to add the curl option in PHP, a folder where curl expects that file to be in.

If you have PHP >= 5.3.7 you can add this line in your php.ini file in the [PHP] section:
curl.cainfo = c:\path\to\curl-ca-bundle.crt

Well setting up a cron job depends on your server configuration. Can you please tell me if you are using any control panel such as Plesk, CPanel or Webmin? If not, do you have SSH access to the server?

The plugin does backup the database.
