From the top of my head I can think of a few possible problems. For example did you register the redirect URI on the Google APIs Console when you created the Client ID and client secret?

Also you could try the latest version of the plugin.

Can you please tell me a bit more about your setup? Like the versions of WP, PHP and Backup you are using, the size of backup archives, post the output of the log file.

I don’t really understand why you would want a progress bar, backups are supposed to be made behind the scenes.

It could be the same error if you are running PHP < 5.3. If that’s the case you will have to wait a few days for me to finish the new version which will hopefully fix the issue.

You are getting those errors because you haven’t registered the request URI indicated by the plugin with Google’s API (through the API console).

My guess is you don’t have pretty permalinks enabled.

I am however working on a new version of the plugin that doesn’t require pretty permalinks.

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I have found the problems with the help of another user who is experiencing the exact same issues as you are.

The bad news is that the problems are a couple of PHP bugs that require me to write quite a bit of code to work around. You can read about the bugs here and here.

You can either upgrade to at least PHP 5.3 or wait for me to rewrite the plugin.

Could you try and upload to the root folder ( leave the folder ID field empty ) and see if that works?

@lee Are you trying to upload to a Google Drive folder? If so, are you sure you entered the correct ID for that folder?

Also please tell me the version of PHP that you are running.

@pedal As there are no errors in the backup.log file I assume the problem is that PHP ran out of memory. You should check the PHP error log to get a more accurate view on what’s happening. I would suggest increasing the memory limit in php.ini.
