i would also like to see support for taking CC payments – that would complete ‘close the loop’ and allow WOO to offer a complete solution for the right small businesses.

yup, this update to BWS is very problematic.

i had the 1969 problem – what I did is downgrade to version 1.10.9 and restore the database. The plugin changed the table – preparing the update to version 2.

the plugin didn’t do the table migration smoothly.

my bigger issue is massive CPU load and i have not found a solution for that. i had to move sites between servers and it’s really a problem.

i see this plugin i hogging resources on my server. it’s sitting on “Top” with 28.2% to 70% of CPU constantly. turn off the plugin, no more CPU hog. really disappointing since i love this plugin. this issue was both before and after upgrading to recent version.

turns out when i fixed this issue stripe turned itself off – any client didn’t notice. so GF notifications went out but payments were not completed.

however – stripe stores customers and cards that this plugin sends it. I didn’t expect this since i am used to using stripe with freshbooks and stripe doesn’t save those customers.

So now i know that i can charge a customer directly at stripe.com once i take payment via this plugin. That was not clear to me before. There are so many subtle behaviors to understand in this ecommerce world.

That means if any of the missed payments form my unfortunate scenario above were from existing customers i could have manually made the new (missed) charges at stripe.com. So if this issue comes up again that is a useful thing to keep in mind.

The Gravity Forms upgrade issue is not a version issue, but a dependency issue.

Since +Stripe and More Stripe depend on Gravity Forms, you just need to deactivate them first before you update Gravity Forms. And I’m working on a more “graceful” error message so that this doesn’t happen again ??

solution: enter API keys for stripe. i assumed i didn’t need keys if the site was not live but not entering keys can cause all kinds of problems.

As for the API keys, once you enable Stripe, the Gravity Forms currency is set by the currency returned from Stripe, which Gravity Forms uses for some of the form fields. So if the Stripe API keys aren’t there, the currency doesn’t get set, and the form fields won’t work.

Note that you have to pay for support for this plugin. i just paid and am getting help now. i will post anything useful that i learn….

now on another site the whole site locked me out after i
-added latest stripe plugin
-could not edit product fields after adding to form
-i updated GF from .11 to .12 and then i was locked out of the site site completely

had to remove stripe plugin via ftp to get back into my site.

help?

i had a similar problem. after updating GF and this stripe plugin the problem went away are you running the most recent versions?
