I have the same problem. Had to revert back to 1.6 to fix.

Hi,
just want to second the notion to have the course name displayed instead of the certificate name. It would save a lot of work and keep the system cleaner (instead of having to create certs for each course…). Would be fantastic in a future release.
Thanks for all the work on this plugin though ?? It’s great.
