Well It seems you don’t understand what I need, and it seems that FooGallery cannot deliver it out of the box.
Anyway – thanks for trying !
Thanks for your support. My settings are the same as yours are. To make clear what I need, I added two more images:
- one narrow rectangle – much higher than wide (portrait ratio)
- 2nd wide rectangle – much wider than high (landscape ratio)
Both look the same in preview – a square. This is because they are cropped. But when you look at them in the lightbox, you see that they are completely different.
What I need is that I can recognize both in the thumbnails – so margins must be added. How can I achieve this?
I’m fine with square thumbnails, this is not the issue.
Thanks a lot in advance, Wolf

Hello, thanks for taking care. I made my first attempts on this page https://sentaminzlaff.de/auf-reisen-hw/, using the “responsive gallery” template.
Problem with this (artistic) paintings is, that they do not have a standard height/width-ratio – and that they must not be cropped.

In reply to: [Blogus] HOWTO: Width of main text follows navigaion barYes, this is true by now. Some fellow helped me out with this code, which does the trick:
@media screen and (min-width:992px){ #menu-titelleiste{ width: calc( 100% - 15px); } } #menu-titelleiste{ width: calc( 100% - 15px); }

In reply to: [WooCommerce] pages hieracyThank you for your help. In fact, I set up my products pages as children of the start page, which contains the “welcome”. Changing that solved the “welcome” issue.
To solve the other issue, I now use a redirect plugin.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] pages hieracyThank you very much.
I’ll try to resolve the “index.php” problem with my hoster.Dealing with “Settings > Permalinks” seems not to be trivial; I suspect there may be a problem with German “produkt” and English “product” getting in each other’s ways…
But first – I have no idea where the “herzlich-willkommen” bit may come from. It’s the German words for “welcome”. Could somebody guess?
Cheers,
WolfThank you for your detailed response.
Meanwhile I found that reducing the number of images per gallery to four (instead of five before) leads to a view which fits much better to my idea.Anyway, a feature to size the gallery as a whole might be nice – as well as a feature to use the whole gallery as a link to another page.
Thanks lot for your time,
WolfMy page is:
<a href=”https://shop.komponentenkontor-berlin.deI’m using the block editor all the time, there I inserted some of “jetpack tiled gallery”. When doing so, with an easy drag-and-drop I could resize my images at the first three ones. This was so easy that I didn’t pay attention. With gallery #4 and 5 at the site, I could no longer find how it works. Does the jetpack tiled gallery have the feature to resize images within the block editor?
So I guess it’s not about the classic editor or WP’s standard gallery.

In reply to: bullet or ordered list: always centeredThank you very much for your attention and your quick response. Your code works – and I agree, the flaw must be a storefront one. I’ll report there.

In reply to: [Page Takeover] No longer functional since update?I’m highly embarrassed. I tried it again and found that it’s working close to perfect now. Probably, the problem was a combination of server and client cache; I had to clear caches at the clients very carefully; at jelly browser in Android I had to delete all data, not only cache.
So there may be space for some improvement for your plugin in means of dealing with caches. It is not so unlikely that a potential customer visits a page several times until he decides to visit the shop or whatever enterprise runs the page. If then he does not receive the message that the shop is closed, he may be quite annoyed.

In reply to: [Page Takeover] No longer functional since update? The “coming soon” page is in place because I cannot use “page takeover” at the moment to tell my customers that business is shut down due to the epidemic.
I will set the page and “page takeover” live right now, hope you can have a look at. Let me know ASAP when you’re done, please.
Cheers,
