If you click Add to cart in Ajax mode, so there is no page reload and user couldn’t see the error.

You can do that with CSS, just add this to your WordPress custom CSS Customizer:

.calc-container .calc-list .calc-subtotal-list .sub-list-item.total {
    padding-top: 5px !important;
}

And if you want more/less height, play with padding-top and padding-bottom.
