In reply to: [FG Joomla to WordPress] Less data imported second time plugin is used….it does beg the question: what does “remove all wordpress content” mean?
Is that to remove ALL wordpress content, or only that which has been imported from joomla previously?

In reply to: [FG Joomla to WordPress] Less data imported second time plugin is usedNo I didn’t use that button, because I don’t want to delete ALL WordPress data. This wasn’t necessary the first time I used the plugin.
I have developed a new site and I want to import the Joomla data on top of/in addition to it.
….this worked fine the first time.

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Submit button not doing anythingHi again
I did remove both classes from the submit button and it does in fact work. I’ll repost that info also on Elegant Themes support area, as it might be of use to them.
Thanks.

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Submit button not doing anythingHi
Ok, that sounds good. Thanks for having a look.
I’ll have a bit of a look myself, but will also lodge a support ticket with the theme developers as they promote MailChimp specifically. Hmm, gets me thinking ….maybe I might not need your plugin?
(for info, for future reference, the theme I’m using is Divi, by Elegant Themes)
Thanks. Will let you know how I get on.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Browser caching not being recognisedRight. Thank you.
I did submit a ticket to the hosting provider and they said that neither of those modules are compatible with their particular shared hosting. :/
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Browser caching not being recognised@destac …
Is there any chance you could share with me how I check if these things are enabled on my hosting please? …I’ve been trying but I find what I’m looking for.
I have looked on [the clients] hosting and have found a page of php settings and modules and gzip and mod_expire does not show up. However, like I mentioned in my previous message, phpinfo() shows that gzip is enabled.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Browser caching not being recognisedThank you. I wasn’t sure how exactly how to check this?
I ran a phpinfo() test and on there it states that gzip is enabled, but I could find no mention of mod_expires.
I’ll do some more research and contact the hosting company as well. Thanks.
…just in case it will help….
If you go to the minify option (from the main menu on the left) and click on HELP button at the top, it will give you a list of all js and css being loaded and from there you can manually select which items are to be minified.
I’ve been going through the same thing and it ended up being the minify settings.
Rather than auto, I had to set it to manual and from there, work out which ones were causing problems. I ended up having to omit css and js for Simple Social Icons (as well as a few other things) and everything works fine.
Hopefully that can help you too?

In reply to: [Collapse-O-Matic] Enable Collapse-o-matic only for small screensThat’s great. Thanks for the info.
I’ll be finalising the page and design first (and still need to confir with the client), before I look at purchasing more plugins.
Thank you ??

In reply to: [Collapse-O-Matic] Enable Collapse-o-matic only for small screensHi …thanks for the response.
That is my first thought was also, but also seems quite cumbersome/clumsy considering the amount of content on one of the pages.
To elaborate on my need for this:
I have a page (for a hotel) which has a short description/introduction and a small room gallery, a column for room details and then a column for making a booking. When it’s viewed on small screens, the page, understandably, becomes very long as the sections are placed one after the other. I’d like to replace the loooong screen with three collapsible options so a user can go directly to where they want to go. I just think it would be a much more fluid user experience. There is of course no need for such functionality on large screens.
I was wondering if it might be possible for example, to hide the arrow next to the title (for large screens) and then somehow disable the collapse/expand functionality over a certain screen width. I might still look in to that if I get a chance.
But thank you, thank you for the plugin. Great work ??

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Customise CSS?Hi Peter
It’s all good. Thanks so much for all your help ??
I’ve learnt a few things along the way, but I have the menu working just the way I’d like it at the moment. It’s perfect, thanks!
I only added one line of formatting to the CSSmodel file, and that was to add rounded corners to the lines. I know it will be overwritten with updates, but it’s a minor issue.
Thanks again ??

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Customise CSS?That’s probably the one combination I didn’t try! Using !important tag in my Childtheme. I’m guessing that should work?
You used the words “*should* take precedence…” ..Have you not checked this yourself (with regard to customising via Childtheme)? Wouldn’t that be easier, so you can see how it behaves yourself? ??

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Customise CSS?Yes I understand. I keep a copy of the files I edit, for reference.
I tried using child theme to modify through style.css of course, but your plugin overwrites this file for some reason? That’s why I initially wanted to get rid of the !important tag, but that didn’t make any difference. Please correct me if I’m wrong (I’ll also try again).
Thanks
