Go to your USER profile and uncheck “Disable the visual editor when writing”, which apparently is enabled by default now. This will return the bar to the top of the text widget editor in Elementor. (It is NOT an Elementor problem.)

In reply to: Is there any way to bulk upload blog posts through docx files?Looking for this elusive solution too @nzt1012. If you’ve had any luck, please share. ??
Agreed. If ‘File Manager’ is installed, someone in your organization did it without your consent. On a side note, this is MY FIRST PLUGIN to be installed on any client’s site. Instead of complaining, perhaps check it out and see how much time it will save you. It’s a five-start product, that’s TOTALLY FREE.

In reply to: [Maintenance] Maintenance Mode not working with AIT-ThemeWell, I’m back, with a virgin install of WP and AIT theme, and again it’s not working. Is there a debugging switch anywhere? Can I email you directly with a login and let you take a look? I genuinely feel your “Maintenance” mode has the most creative page designs, and would really like to get it working on this site.

I don’t have a “obvious” cache installed, and I visited the site on a test Opera browswer, and it still came up with the home page.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Simple Taxonomy Ordering] Hierarchical drag?I’d like to chime in on this topic.
I’ve imported an old Joomla site, that has hundreds of nested categories. Unfortunately they came in ‘flat’, and ordering them, with hierarchical is a proverbial headache. If you are pursuing this functionality, I will support your efforts in a PR capacity as best I can. For those of us that maintain portal-like websites, this plugin is invaluable. THANK YOU, and I look forward to possible nesting capabilities.
I’ve been using Elementor from the beginning, and, for those of us who use a page-builder, Gutenberg is clumsy. Sadly. But, surely a step forward for the 5th generation of the CMS.
Point made. ??
I’m not sure Gutenberg, as a required solution, would be the best path. We use Elementor and several of the dynamic-content widgets to display photos. Having the media credit (as text, not part of the image) come as a side-car with the image is really advantageous. That’s why my thought of putting the media credit within the image area is so desirable. If photos are in a gallery with no gutters, the credit won’t ‘break’. (NOTE: Not a programmer, so all of my assumptions could be crap.)
