I have looked further into it and can reproduce the error in WP 5.0.3 (i have updated) and in another WP site on the same server.

I succeeded to save the sentence from above once and then it failed again.

[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () (admin-ajax.php, line 0)
[Log] {readyState: 4, getResponseHeader: function, getAllResponseHeaders: function, setRequestHeader: function, overrideMimeType: function, …} (admin.js, line 4)

I will be looking into firewall settings as it might be BPS pro as i can see it in the security log

    Hi,
i don’t see any java errors, but i have tested further.

It looks like when i copy text in it will not save. i copied part of a instruction in (saved in a text file) and i can’t save. if i delete part of the string it saves. therefore i tried a number of danish characters and i can save ok (???).

It looks like it is the content of one og the instruction fields that creates the error.
this line makes troubles “L?g skiverne i rigeligt koldt vand.” (put slices in cold water.) if this is the end of the field i can’t save – if i put a few characters in after i can save???

no, no nothing like that as i write and also checked through the DB. It only works when using the old php tags directly in the post/page.

I have the same issue as Rutger and replied to a newer post. On two sites on the same server one works the other not.

    I have the same issue.
On site A everything works fine and on site B on the same server, it only shows the shortcode. If i use the old php-tags method i can get the php code to run.

To me it looks like WordPress and the theme rewrites the shortcode, so that it is not recognized and used.

I have tried to use the same theme as site A for site B, but it makes no difference.

I have tried to re install, check quotes in the DB but the shortcode is in no way recognized. Other shortcodes do work, but i think it relates to the quotes (“)

    Anyone found the reason?

    It’s here:

It just look like other Wp error messages, but i can’t find the exact error text anywhere.

I often get it when i from control panel press the website stat (eg. last day column) but it is not limited to this page
