Current LP does not support function as you want. You can hire a freelancer to help you.
About show parent categories to menu then you can create custom link menu and put link 2 categories you created.

Button “Publish” is disappeared when you create a new course? Please try to upgrade latest version WordPress and update plugin LP version 2.0.9 in order to avoid from conflicting older version. Let us know if you still have trouble.

Because, if a student enroll a course then they need to login to view course to learn and finish course. Then system will calculate conditions to show button “Complete”. If student already login to view course but still not show button “complete” in frontend, please let give us your link site to have a look.

Current LP helps to configure duration of quizzes and courses separately https://prnt.sc/dmiiy9, https://prnt.sc/dmiih2. If you don’t want to setting duration for quizzes then you can set “duration=0” to disable. So students complete quizzes without countdown time but still be limited in total time of course. It means that if course is expired then students’re able not to complete quizzes anymore.
