I have also just loaded Rocket but again having issues as they advised to disable your plugin / w3 total etc and pagespeed down now from 97 to 89 with a error stating for landing page redirects are casing a page load delay which i haven’t encountered before including redirect from http to https to // sigh loaded back up and getting that speed message again. Might have to talk to Simple SSL as they provided the redirect originally.

Any suggestions? (do you ever wish you hadn’t started trying to optimise something – maybe a single page website is the way forward…)

No not yet, hoping for some useful insights and tips from the plugin team.
In the meantime I’m been searching for more indepth documentation about this plugin but to no avail.

There are other plugins that offer similar features that might not cause the same issues and I have been looking into paid plugins like Rocket that comes highly recommended (don’t know if you have tried that one?) but maybe again this plugin covers all the basics in their upgrade option so still hoping for a reply.

For your info was using the following php when the previous version caused site blank out:
MYSQL Version : 5.6.41-84.1-log
SQL Mode : NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION
PHP Version : 7.0.33

Thanks for your prompt reply. All updated with no known issues at present thanks.

Might be worth pointing out in your update support material, that the latest updates override any Yoast settings previously saved, and for themes that don’t have inbuilt bread crumb support where it is manually added that previous line code is removed and has to be added manually at each update, well that is until a version comes out that remembers all previous user yoast settings.
