on the settings page does it display a box that says “Seems your host might not play nice with this plugin… But give it a shot anyway.” ? I am not sure that the recent server checks that I have implemented are 100% but the error screams “This server doesn’t have the correct setup to run this plugin.” If you would like to create or send me a link to a phpinfo page i would be happy to take a look at it. if you dont want to post the link here you can email it to me hiphopsmurf [at] cdsincdesign dot com

In the settings page for the plugin is there a box that says “Seems your host might not play nice with this plugin” ? If so that means the host/server that hosts your WordPress installation is probably not configured with the correct settings that this plugin needs.

I have made a few changes to the plugin that might help or solve the problem. The development version can be downloaded from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/simple-dropbox-upload-form.zip or by going to the plugin page and clicking the link “Other Versions” which is located at the lower right of the plugin page. Near the bottom of that page you will see a link for the Development Version of the plugin which contains the changes I have made.

Please download the development version from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/simple-dropbox-upload-form.zip and please let me know if the issue is resolved.

I was actually thinking of putting in an option to add a registered users username to the folder path so if the user is logged in when they upload a file that file will go into a folder created with their username. I have been swamped with other projects but will be working on it soon.

There are messages built in to tell you if the upload was completed or failed. Not sure why you would be getting a blank page. The plugin might not be playing nice with another plugin you have installed. If you can get a copy of your error log from your host I would be willing to take a look at it.

I updated the plugin yesterday to include various error checking to test the hosting environment. Have you updated to version 1.3.0? The error your getting is usually caused if your host/server is not compiled with OAuth which Dropbox requires in order to use to use their service remotely. After updating, if you go to the settings page for the plugin and it displays “Seems your host might not play nice with this plugin… But give it a shot anyway.” The plugin will not likely work on your host/server.

try to reset the plugin and leave the default folders and let me know if you get the same error.

Unfortunately not yet. Dropbox fought me just to get this app approved. The app is approved for folder access only. I am in the process of trying to get approved for full access which will allow access to the main folder and allow users to set the full root path from the main folder.

I found the bug and have updated the plugin. Please update to the latest version (1.2.0)

Which plugin are you using for mail chimp? I will take a look at it and see if I can recreate the problem your having.
