    Hi atiConker,

First you need to have pages on your blog.

If so just click on “cloud: SHAPE, CONTENT, WEIGHT, OUTLINE” section, then in subsection CONTENT check “Pages”. Then save your widget instance.

If no pages are available you will get a flying message “No tags” in the cloud.

    That’s it.

    Hi Gloria,

I got the impression that your letter was dated before that v.3.2.

Anyway v. 3.1 came with the new option for mixed image & text tags. Are you saying that it was OK?

Error message says that some variables introduced in v.3.1 are undefined. It sounds as you have replaced some files but not all. How did you install the plugin: manually or automatically?

And one more question: Did you have a working widget instance on the site before that installation?

Could you please delete all installed 3D WP Tag Cloud widget instances, then remove the plugin, and then install it again?

    Hi Gloria,

    There might be four reasons:

    1. Incompatible WP Theme: Test the plugin under one of WP standard themes like Twenty Fourteen or Twenty Fifteen (most probable reason – happen on my site: my old WP Theme was ok with v.3.0, but could not handle v.3.1).
    2. Could be also incompatibility between two different plugins: you have to switch off them one by one. (possible)
    3. Old version of PHP on your server. Ask your sysadmin. Should be 5.5 or so (unlikely, since you have used previous plugin version).
    4. Old WP version: You should use WP 3.9 or higher (also unlikely).

In case the above does not help could you please give me a link to a page with installed widget instance on it?

And few more things: When did you get these messages? After installation? After starting an instance? After opening the page with the cloud?

    Regards

    Hi Marc73,

The plugin I suggested works with latest WP 4.1. Nevertheless there are a lot of other plugins having same functionality. So you can choose the best one for you:

    Hi pvlungelov,

It sounds interesting. May I see first how it looks like and how it works?

    Dear demoman2k10,

I never received any answer on my attempts to help you. Did you test plugin with Twenty Fourteen WP Theme? It should work under it.

    Dear Gustav,

I hope my suggestions helped you. May I consider this topic resolved?

    Dear Marc73,

3D WP Tag Cloud plugins (M & S) create sidebar widgets. In order to put your cloud in the page center your WP theme has to possess horizontal sidebars such as heather sidebar or footer sidebar. Usually they consist of several fields (areas) where the number of fields is adjustable. So in this case you have to create a widget instance in the mid field but the cloud canvas should not exceed size of that field. Here is an example (footer sidebar with 3 fields):

Instead of looking for such a theme I would suggest you another solution. Install “Virtual Sidebar” WP plugin:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/virtual-sidebar/

It allows you to create virtual sidebars wherever you want on your posts or pages. You are allowed to set preferred sizes and aligning by html tags. I use this plugin in following 2 posts:

    (text and cloud a line)

    (two clouds a line)

Most probably your problem is connected to the WP theme you use. May be it s not fully responsive and your mobile browser interprets it in a specific way. From what I see may be cloud instance in the footer gets absolute position under some conditions.

I would suggest you two experiments:

    1. Try to load your site under Twenty Fourteen WP Theme which is a standard one. No matter how ugly it will looks, just to see if the problem will appear on your mobile phone.
    2. Try to load your site (under the present and under 2014 themes) on different mobile browser.

Thus you may narrow where the reason comes from.

BTW I do not see a cloud instance on https://www.kkg-luenen.de/
Does the problem exist on it?

    Hi Gustav,

Are you saying that initially your site loads correctly on your Samsung Galaxy SII, and only after you tap on a cloud’s link (tag) a new page loads in that wrong way?

    Hi demoman2k10,

Since I never received any answer I decided to wait a month and then to type a general advice for the rest of readers. I thought you would never come back and that’s why I closed the case.

Anyway, it’s good you answered here. Now back to work:

The reason is not in “WP UI – Tabs, accordions and more” plugin. I tested it with 3D WP Tag Cloud – M/S. From your answer I don’t understand if you have tested the plugin under Twenty Fourteen WP Theme. If you have not then would you please install once again both plugin versions M and S and first try them under that theme? Just for a quick check. If clouds appear the reason is in the theme. If not, go back to your primary theme and give me a link to your site/page so that I can see what is going on.

I hope it would be enough, but if I can’t diagnose it remotely, would it be possible to install it somewhere on a separate place where you can allow me temporary access?

    Thank you.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Dear demoman2k10,

Since you are not answering I’m going to list the 6 possible reasons for 3d cloud not appearing:

    1. Before installation of a new plugin version you have used an old one.
If so, open your old plugin instance and save it again without any changes or delete it and create new one.

    2. You have created a cloud without content.
That means you have chosen, let say, Links as type of content, without having any external link; or Post Tags without any tag in your posts; etc.

    3. You use an old or not standard WP Theme.
You can check this by switching to Twenty Fourteen WP Theme.

    4. There is incompatibility between two or more plugins that you use.
Switch off all of them, except 3D WP Tag Cloud. Then start switching on one by one and check if 3d cloud still appears until you find the problematic plugin.

    5. You use WP version lower than 3.9.
    Update it.

    6. The PHP version of your host is too old.
Ask your provider for newer, at least 5.2.17.

    PS
I mark this topic as resolved.
