Thanks for your reply, have tried the above and get error

Snippet automatically deactivated due to an error on line 10:

Syntax error, unexpected single-quoted string "is_past".

Also tried the code from the page at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/showing-past-events-in-reverse-order/ same issue.

Doesn’t work. Have tried adding the code as per the link in the main functions file as well trying via a snipet plugin and neither work, the code does nothing to the display order. This is with the Tweaks plugin disabled. When the Tweaks plugin is re-enabled still get the below error and events disappear. Have tested on two different installs of WordPress and same issue.

    [Mon Sep 04 09:50:27 2023] [error] [client ] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: call_user_func_array(): Argument #1 ($callback) must be a valid callback, cannot access private method Tribe\Extensions\Tec_Tweaks\Main::tribe_past_reverse_chronological_v2() in /home/sites/10b/public_html/Test/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:312\nStack trace:\n#0 /home/sites/10b/public_html/Test/wp-includes/plugin.php(205): WP_Hook->apply_filters(Array, Array)\n#1 /home/sites/10b/public_html/Test/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Views/V2/View.php(1314): apply_filters(‘tribe_events_vi…’, Array, Object(Tribe\Events\Views\V2\Views\List_View))\n#2 /home/sites/10b/public_html/Test/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Views/V2/View.php(729): Tribe\Events\Views\V2\View->filter_template_vars(Array)\n#3 /home/sites/10b/public_html/Test/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Views/V2/Template_Bootstrap.php(262): Tribe\Events\Views\V2\View->get_html()\n#4 /home/…’

Downgrading doesn’t solve the issue and creates new ones. Now the plugin runs a weird Cron job every single visit to the calendar main page (like ?doing_wp_cron=1671564961.8107199668884277343750) and then refuses to show added events or the previous/next event buttons don’t work or the toggle between views doesn’t work. Then suddenly they will work only for the cron job to run again and then they disappear.

Even wiped database and restored pre migration and problem just returns. Is there a conflict with PHP version as well as javascript and something else going on?

This part of site is completely broken and this plugin caused it.

The rollback solution does not work. Now getting PHP errors (AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: the-events-calendar/common – Log: Initializing Tribe Events on Dec, 13th at 07:12:06 pm) and now none of the navigation buttons are working on the events page of the main site. This all started after data migration as well as updating the plugin to the latest version. So there are two potential bugs here.

Even reversing the data migration and restoring the plugin back to 6.02 has not worked. Only option is to wipe current site and restore back to a point before the data migration and switch off the updates and not do the migration until this is all sorted.

    PHP:8.0
    Wordpress Version: 6.1.1
    The Events Calendar: 6.0.4
    Theme: Poseidon Pro 2.2.3
    Broswer Firefox: 107
    OS: Win 10 Pro 22H

Since migrating/updating the data for the plugin as requested this has caused a serious issue as like other users have posted, just saving an event as a draft and going back into it to publish, the publish button does not work or do anything. Tried rolling back the migration and issue is still there.

It use to work prior to version 4.9.

Heart Internet UK do not allow loopback requests as it is a security risk to their network.

Therefore what other options are there apart from dropping WP and moving to another platform or moving to a less secure host.

    I will consider replacing

    wp-admin/theme-editor.php
    wp-admin/includes/file.php

with version 4.8.4 as a temporary fix until a proper solution is found.

    Thanks for your reply.

Heart Internet (UK) have responded and stated they do not allow loopback connections.

I have hundreds of sites hosted with them and most all now on 4.9 of WordPress which is a nightmare if simple edits can not be carried out to php files.

Any solutions to this as don’t really want to have to change host or drop WordPress.

All sites on same host across lots of different servers. Unknown whether loopback connections allowed, host not responded to this question.

I have the same issue with IE11 & Edge.

A basic header displays OK in FF52 as this browser crops the header image in the middle for the sub pages but in IE11 & Edge it crops the image at different points at the bottom of the image.

This means sites using this theme look naff across different browsers and there isn’t any standardization.

This appears to be a bug that needs to be addressed.
