I’m having an issue now as well with using the plugin “Faster Image Insert”. Before this plugin (Resize images before upload) was fixed to work with the new media manager, it worked with the “Faster Image Insert” plugin, but now it works in the new “add media” screen, the main media admin area, but not with the “Faster Image Insert” plugin. Could be related to the above users error.

That is true, I didn’t try it the other way. The “browser upload” does not work.

Just found this plugin, which is great. But I can confirm that it doesn’t work in the new media uploader of 3.5. I also installed “Faster Image Insert” which puts the old uploader right on the post page, and it works just fine there.

I believe this was just a memory limit error. I installed a test of 3.4.2 and had issues uploading the same files. So, the pictures just need to be smaller than a certain size for the memory my site has.

I have since tested renaming functions.php in the Twenty Twelve Theme and trying my personal theme, and the Twenty Eleven Theme and none of that helped. I realize I’m not the only one with this problem and have read all I could find, but nothing seems to help (I haven’t tired deleting the tinyMCE plugins folder since deleting core files isn’t ideal).

Is there any update on this? It’s working fine on my site, but I’d like to clean up the header a bit and loading jquery on every page is a waste.
