  • When ever you make a post, it gets a separate page for it.

however, if you do not want it to reach the homepage, you can just display some excerpts or choose a static page to display on the homepage so that the actual posts do not appear there…

if you want to convert a post to a page, there are some plugins that can do this. Search for post to page converter, and you should get one.

I just went through it, and it seems like a database problem.

i don’t think we can blame the theme guys for this, as the arrows etc. that you are talking about, is present in the theme. They are just not getting displayed:

    for example:
    test.cwscambodia.org/wp-content/themes/wpaid/images/sponsor_arrows.png

however, i could not find these image on your blog:
    test.cwscambodia.org/images/indicator.png
    test.cwscambodia.org/images/arrows.png

So, here is what you can do. Ask your host to fix your database… any decent host would do that.

Once done, it should get fixed, hopefully,
    keep us updated,

Firstly, godaddy provides much less server resources compared to hostgator… so if you are going there, be prepared to see those 500 errors from time to time.

The theme itself can be a problem as well, let us know what theme your blog was using.

    Anyways, follow the following steps.

    1) From your hostgator hosting, enter phpmyadmin and export your sql file.

    2) Install the blog at your new godaddy hosting. Make a fresh install.

    3) Enter your phpmyadmin of your new godaddy host and import your sql file.

    4) Upload your theme and plugins to the
    wp-content/themes
    wp-content/plugins
    folders…

    5) Activate the theme and the plugins…

everything should work properly… if not then keep us updated,
    cheers,

I guess there are plenty of plugins that can do this. Some of those are premium plugins with loads of features.. but there are some good free alternatives too.

also, you can use Google Docs to make a form. Or just make a contact page and drop your email id where your readers will contact you.

so firstly, if am getting your correctly.. you want a custom Title, some descriptions etc. to appear on every post and page of your blog?

For this, you might have to edit more than one page. I have done this quite a few times, but different themes are coded in a different way, and some platforms such as thesis has all the features built in already..

so basically from the header, to the sidebar pages, and the single page… etc. go through editing them and tweaking them… and you will be finally able to have it customized..

make sure to backup before going into all this,
    cheers,

delete that plugin using FTP. any free ftp software will do. Then navigate to your wp-content/plugins and delete that plugin,

once it is deleted, it should be ok.

I usually rename the specific plugin folder… and the access to the admin area is cleared again,

    Use FTP.
Upload the theme to – wp-content/themes folder
then login to your wordpress admin panel and activate the theme.

If this does not works, then perhaps the theme itself is broken. try getting a fresh download of the theme and try again,

from what it looks from the error message is that you are trying to install a child theme, in that case, you will require to install the theme framework first.. once the framework is installed then install the child theme…

You want a custom front page for your blog?

Meta descriptions will go into the code… it is not for the display, but i guess you want to make a more customized homepage for your blog?

also, post your blog’s link so that we can be sure about what you want…

This is a very good blog, absolutely professional design. Looks perfect.

At first, i thought it was some kind of a Photo gallery theme, but it is much more than that. The presentation is just great.

    keep it updated,
    cheers,

You have got an excellent blog, lots of unique content, site loading is good… a simple and clean theme, over all, it is great.

Here are a few things you can still work on:

    1) Get a brandable logo, it will help you to promote your brand.

    2) Use feedburner – I see that you are still using the default feed from wordpress, use feedburner, it is packed with plenty of features.

    3) use social media – add social voting buttons on your blog posts, get a twitter and facebook profile pages… this will help you to spread your content on the social media.

Overall, it is a great blog, keep it updated,
    cheers,

another blog with a default theme and a single article… before asking for a review, would suggest you to first build it up.
    1) Get a theme, free/paid/custom/premium … plenty of choices
    2) Add more content, blog posts are what makes the blog.

Once this is done, ask for a review…
    cheers,

Yeah, as alchymyth said, it is the default theme, all that has been done is that background image and a header.. would suggest you to get a custom theme or use any good premium theme.

If budget is a problem, then try finding a good free theme, there are plenty available.

Also, ultimately it is a blog and you need to add some articles and get it running.
    cheers,

always good to start a new blog, congrats on getting it started.

Your blog needs a lot of work, am listing it point wise.

    1) Blog is all about content, and your blog does not even have one article. It is time you start writing.

    2) You got a few sidebar ads, and they seem to be out of place. Ads work best, when they are blended well, and are carefully placed in the middle of an article. The bigger rectangles are the ones that convert well. Sidebar is mostly the worst converting places for an ad.

    3) You do not have an about page, and the page that you have is basically a click bank ad. I know you are looking to monetize your blog, but going to loud on the ads at the start does not really help. Add more content and later, when you have a user base on your blog, slowly introduce them to the ads.

    4) I see that you have got a twitter widget on the sidebar, but it does not link to your twitter profile. Get a twitter account and a Facebook fan page for your blog, add social media to your blog and make it social friendly.

    5) Add some articles, and get the snippets of those articles on the homepage. Remove the ads from the homepage, and focus on the content.

Getting a blog started and building an audience base in it, is tough,
but if you keep at it, very soon it will be a reality,

    cheers,

Yeah, wordpress is great for any kind of blogs.

Just went through your edu blog, unfortunately i can’t read that language… however, the design and the theme looks good.

I see a lot of content on the blog which is great, keep it updated,
    cheers,

from what it seems, the other blog has done some customization with the header. The theme demo shows the logo as placed at the side, on the top, pretty much the same that your blog does.

to do what you want, will require some custom coding and it won’t be easy…
