I did read the description afterwards very carefully (after my first review), several times and I just did it again but I still cannot distillate it is a SaaS solution.

• First: removing the review Is not among the options. I already made the Title more gentle but since it’s a fully commercial solution (SaaS based) from me it will never get more than 1 star. Sorry for that. it’s not mentioned in the description of the plugin
• Two: Calling us or requesting a phone call, to “discuss” will not make anything better, it’s just the way plugins on WordPress work, some like it, some don’t.
• All that above makes the current reviews a bit suspicious if you ask me.

Feel free to have it removed by a moderator or report my review as offensive or whatever.. I will do the same with this commercial plugin.

Also read the guidelines and in particular the part of:

Hello Jonathan,

I removed the existing wordpress-popup folder and re-uploaded it again.
Then activated it again and now it’s up and running.
I’m going to give it a try again to see if it’s what we are looking for.

I did as mentioned and now I see in the logfile a whole bunch of error lines like:

failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/xxx/xxxxxx/webspace/httpdocs/my.domain.ext/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popup/inc/providers/mautic/mautic.php on line 3

I guess I better upload the whle plugin again as looks like something is missing.

Is that correct?

And also the folder I uploaded was named “WordPress-Popup”but I expected something like “Hustler” . I hope thats as expected.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the rude subject. I could have done that more subtle.

But issue is I just don’t like the idea of “a seamless connection with our WordPress website” and designing outside the own environment. IN particular not for a thing as a simple popup or dialogbox. Also a SaaS solution is not what I was looking for, I must have missed that in the description.

The plugin might be useful for others but not for us.

I tried quite a few of those popup plugins, including the ones mentioned.
But none of them does what I want it to do. The one that comes more close to the needed feature is yours, only not per internal page.

I have been looking into the code (in colorbox & fancybox too) as well and tried a few things but didn’t work, as you mentioned.

But for now a solved my issue by adding the sandbox attribute into some html code and that I put in the text area (Dialog Contents) instead of adding the URL to the website address field.

Works fine now but it’s just that it’s an iframe inside an iframe now.

For whom interested: The initial issue I had could be solved by adding sandbox attribute to the Iframe.

Sorry wanted to remove the initial question but there is no option so I set it to resolved.

Reason: The problem I experienced was due to the source (website) where I wanted to embed an Iframe from. If I Embed a YouTube video there is not problem with browsing the menu.

I sorted out what was wrong. Apparantly something with the smtp plugin I use.

I checked with other similar WP installation could reproduce issue so I played aroudn with smtp setting and it worked.

So I went back to the previous WP-installation and changed smtp settings as well. Then it worked. Then set back the old settings and everything was still working fine.

Weird eh? Took me hours because I was looking into the code as I expected something had gone wrong while updating ;D

I think it was some problem connecting to the smtp host…?

Initially not but later on I added several options. I sorted out that when demo mode is On it does work.
demo_mode: on

Without it does not work.
Neither when I use default theme and no other plugins.
No error eithers (firebug).

Sorry, did all that but did not solve the problem. ??
Also in the default themes without any other plugin installed it will not work.

Only when I disable Javascrip it works.
