In reply to: [WP Store Locator] Search by stateSo if I have multiple locations across the world need to set the radius to 10,000 miles?
Why can I search for “San Antonio” and get a hit for Texas when the map is centering on California and the radius is set to 50 miles, but if I search for Texas I get zero results?
If I go to google maps directly I can get hits for San Antonio with my browser set to California. Your plugin should work the same.

In reply to: Is cbnet Ping Optimizer still needed? The current WP ping service does not prevent spam pinging from posting several edits.
So I guess a plug is still needed?
Chip…will you plug work in multisite? I added tried it but I get a notice that the plug was not updated correctly.
I almost bought Networks+ but it mentions that it works for sub-domains and a sub-child site can share a theme.
I need it to work on sub-directory sites and the sub-child site needs to have its own them form the site above it.
Will Network+ still work?
https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-multi-network/ seems to be the plug most mentioned.
Do you network activate this plug (seems reasonable) or site activate it?
When I network activated it, it listed only my main blog site but I have 11 other blogs installed.
There are not instruction on what to do. I played around a little I was getting crazy results.
Any feedback would help big time, thanks!
LOL…I knew I was gonna get busted calling it MU. I was eating a piece of pizza for breakfast in one hand and typing in the other. I did not want to get pizza juice on my keyboard so I shortened it. But I was thinking, “I should say that I am using MU for short” but was typing this one finder.
I have searched the codex and Internet on multi network plugins. Not much out there and most seems to address a multi user functaionality.
I tried using this one: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-multi-network/ but I am getting errors when I try to reach my member sub site and there is not documentation on setup.
Any recommendations on a plugin?
and sorry, Multisite.
Andrea please help me!!!!!
I have been running mulitsite in sub-directory setup with domain mapping for sometime and life is good. However, I have a new challenge.
I need to setup a WP site within a site.
Site (A) will be a video sales pages running theme (A). https://www.domain.com/.
Site (B) will be a members only site running theme (B) the a user will be directed to this site after purchasing a product from Site (A). https://www.domain.com/members/
I know of this setup working for non-MU and was told it works for MU but when I try to add a new site under an existing site I get “Missing or invalid site address.”
What I am doing is taking the path of an existing site and and appending the /members sub directory.
For example, /(existing site path)/members
Can this be done in MU and how?
The reason is somewhat logical. I want both the sales funnel video sales page and the members areas to be under the same domain while both are driven by WP. Plus I can run a special video sales page theme under the main site and a special members theme under the second site that is tied to my third party shopping cart.

In reply to: db Con Error right after fresh 3.1 network installok figured it out.
it was caused by a rewrite over my .htaccess file and I did not catch it.
Plus and perhaps mostly due to me not noticing that when I added to the config file I did not paste over the allow multisiite flag.
Thanks for checking and helping out.

In reply to: db Con Error right after fresh 3.1 network installThat’s real good news about the build.
Yes all the tables listed above were created.
I am going to kill both installs, download again and try to install once more at both hosts and get back to you.
Is there any new changes to the install of multisite 3.1 versus 3.0?

In reply to: db Con Error right after fresh 3.1 network installThanks, any idea why I am receiving a Database Connection Error only after I logout of a single site install to activate the multisite version?
It’s happening at two different hosting with a fresh install and the current 3.1 build that was downloaded just yesterday.
Multisaite was set to use sub-directories.
This problem has happened repeatedly, turning on the network breaks the db.
I can get 3.0 to run on both hosts in network mode.
