I have traced the problem to the CMS Commander plugin, which I added after the site went live. Fortunately, this made it quite easy for me to test by installing the plugin on the development site and then uninstalling it to confirm the test. It also means that it will be relatively simple for me to just de-activate the CMS Commander plugin on the live site when I’m adding images.

An update on my last post. The insert process does appear to work on the original unmigrated site. I am thinking there may be a reference somewhere within TablePress that is still looking at the old site.

Which raises a related issue. While investigating this problem, I have discovered that, having used “BackupBuddy” to migrate the site from a development area, the references to images that I created there, have not been updated and still refer to the development site.
If it helps, the site in question is https://www.maxsport.co.uk and the theme is a Headway child theme.

I have now discovered that the whole results list is repeated twice and the latter two instances of the list break the formatting of the page. Not sure whether this is a fault with the wp e-commerce plug-in, the wappos theme, or just me doing something stupid.
