In reply to: Deleted CGI files, how to get them back?I’m going to add this comment not to rub your nose in it or anything, but to once again point out how important it is to keep a BACKUP of your ENTIRE site. I have no less than 3 full backups of my site on 3 different forms of media.
I’ll tell you now, beening so anal retentive about backing up my site(s) has saved my bacon more than once. If you don’t have a backup, you’re BEGGING for bad things to happen.

In reply to: “The email address you entered was invalid.”I have no idea what the problem was. I finally just deleted the entire site and put things back piece-by-piece. I think it was one of the mods listed above that did it, but after reinstalling them from scratch, everything works now. Go figure. Thanks for everyones help.
Peaceful Journey,

In reply to: “The email address you entered was invalid.”No, I sure don’t. I did install a few items by Lester “GaMerZ” Chan… I’m wondering if one of them did that. I guess I’ll have to go through and “remove” them to find out. It’s a mystery to me what happened. I installed:

In reply to: Auto-post plugin?I’m not sure why you can’t post them with future dates and then just forget them. I guess I miss the point of it all. But then again, I miss the point of many things. ??

In reply to: CG-FlashyTitles v1.1 (sIFR for WordPress)Fix works, thanks…

In reply to: CG-FlashyTitles v1.1 (sIFR for WordPress)I’m currently running my own server. It’s a Celeron 2Gig with 2Gigs Ram, on a 100 meg managed switch. It’s running about 200 sites right now, so the speed of the server is a little slower than it could be. Oh, and it’s Window Small Business 2003.
I’m using Firefox on workstations that are 1.5Gig to 3.8Gig. All of the machines take longer to load the page when FancyTitles is used. Sometimes it loads faster than others, and I’ve also noticed it’s now loading faster in all cases after I rebooted the server. There may have been an issus with the amount of free RAM.
I will check the logs.
I just noticed… if I have more than 1 “fancytitle”, and I delete one of them, they ALL go away and you have to re-enter the others.

In reply to: CG-FlashyTitles v1.1 (sIFR for WordPress)I just installed v1.1 to try it out. While it installed well and it does work, the load time on the pages goes down the toilet… What usually took 1/2 to 3 seconds to load takes anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds.
The look is cool and all, but for performance, I’ll have to pass.
