For post: On the post page, at the top right, there is a tab called Screen Options, click and a drop down should show different fields that can be shown. Check the box next to Discussion. Under the post field where you type the actual post will be a field labeled Discussion and you can uncheck the box for allowing comments

You will be the same persona(i.e. name) on each, if that is ok with you?

As admin for blog X, add yourself(the login you want for all) to blog X and give yourself admin permissions. Then log out as admin for blog X and log back in as the user/admin you just added. You could then leave or delete the existing admin or downgrade to another type of user. If you delete the existing admin, wordpress should ask you who to attribute the past posts written by the user you are deleting. You can point those posts to yourself or another user. I would only delete if needed.

I watched a workshop about this a couple of months back. This is what I remember. I hope it helps.

I have now tried exporting a single post and importing with attachments. I am not getting any memory error messages importing a single post but I still am not getting the attached media.

I am afraid that since the media is not importing, when I delete my current blog all my media will be gone. As of now, the photos are showing on the individual posts but not in my media library or showing up on the featured section of the homepage.

Can anyone please help me with migrating my blog from one wordpress than another?
