I actually accidentally fixed (??!!) my issue by installing a cache plugin. I cleared the site’s cache and it fixed it! I don’t know how, but I’m not going to question it because I’m beginning to think the theme is sentient and may yet turn on me again!
Still can’t get the slideshow to be responsive, though! Hoping the author updates it as he told me he was planning to! ??

In reply to: [Modality] How to make blog post NOT appear in sliderCreate a category for the slides (ie; Slider or slides etc) and then go to Themes/Customize and choose Modality Slider Options. There you can select what category appears in the slider. Once you select your chosen category name for the slide posts, other posts won’t appear in the slider. trick is, you have to create a slide category and slide FIRST because, until you do, it won’t show up as an option in the theme customization drop down.
Another one with the last slide not loading. Was fine when I just had two slides initially, but I added three more and now it only shows 4 of the 5, with the last being a big gray block. Any help would be much appreciated!!

In reply to: [Modality] Slider is resizing, but container is not resizing.Hey Alex!
I see what you mean! That’s odd as my slider does the same thing, but my images stay the same size. How did you manage to get your images to resize for you on the browser? I actually spoke to the theme developer and he said he has plans to update soon with a new slider that will sort out the responsiveness issues. In the meantime, I wonder if anyone smarter than I would be willing to give our pages a look and steer us in the right direction!
Jim ??

In reply to: [Modality] I can't change the image sliderHey Man! I know this is old, but maybe it’ll help you or someone else. Changing the slider is actually the easy bit!
1) Create a category for your slides. Call it “slideshow” or whatever you’d like.
2) Make a post and name it something like “slide-1” etc. Don’t put anything in the post body! Just set the featured image as the slide you’d like to show! Click the “slideshow” category button, and publish.
3) Go back to Customize theme, and, under Modality Theme Options/Theme Image Slider Settings, you’ll see Image Slider Category. Choose your category “slideshow” from the drop down menu. Save and Publish and et voila; your slideshow works!
Hello!!
I was actually toying around with other themes per your suggestion as it doesn’t seem there’s any way around adjusting that header on Silvia. You may have popped in when I was doing that. lol. I believe I may stay with Modality, but I’m not a fan of the container div on the static page as it sort of ruins the slideshow plug-in I’m using. I’ll take that question over to the appropriate forum though! ??
Thanks for your help!
Sure! Here ya go! https://gist.github.com/anonymous/224cc5a3c9f3d206c373
Yeah it’s odd! The theme comes with an area to load the logo (as well as a retina logo!) but once it’s in there I can’t find the css for it to reduce the padding around it or anything. This is my first WordPress site; I’m used to Drupal themes which usually have a single style sheet I can edit to my heart’s content. I figured maybe someone here would have a rough idea of how to get around it. ??

In reply to: [Silvia] Fix mobile viewI wish I could! I’ve got the reverse problem. My logo is ENORMOUS on mobile, and takes up half the screen. ??
You are an absolute STAR NeoTecnomad!! The custom CSS plugin sorted it right out! I actually had tried to apply a similar bit of CSS to the theme but to no avail. That took care of it straight away! MUCH THANKS!! ??
