Thanks for checking. It’s quite confusing. I had some issues with Firefox’s cache. Once I emptied it some pictures where shown with hi-res properties while others still only show as their normal size. However when I right-click Show Graphics I usually get the hi-res version.

So how do you check if everything works? Just so I can do it myself next time, too.

About the buttons: That’ll be my headache. The four of them are a single image spliced via CSS. So I suppose there won’t be any way to convert them as a single file and I’ll have to untangle them?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

thanks for helping and pointing that out. Indeed, it was just a stupid mistake. So then I renamed all hi-res pictures to …@2x.jpg and my layout totally exploded. So I guess it does work now. Then I put in width and height tags in all image links so everything looks ok again.

However it still seems to be a bit hit-and-miss. My website is here: https://bit.ly/RAMEZk The central picture (on the piano) seems to load the hi-res version. However the picture in the lower right corner is still lo-res (right now I’m on debug mode again). Same holds true for many other pictures on the site (see /grenzbereiche for instance), while those in the “live” tab and on /hoeren or /listen work beautifully.

Do you know what might be wrong with those image tags?

    Many thanks.

OK – something occurred to me and in fact I have found the culprit: qTranslate (v 2.5.28) messes with WordPress 3.1.1 in many ways. There’s a number of bug reports on the qTranslate forum though no confirmation from the maintainer yet.

Anyway, sorry to bother you. Thanks for wanting to help, and I hope all my words may help someone looking for the same answer.
