Double check that you really disabled all plugins and switch to default theme.

Since the problem started after installing the plugin ““Subscribe to Comments Reloaded”, then you should contact the plugin author, as he might be aware of the problem and have a solution for it.

Well, its not a hard task to do.

Which control panel your old host is using? cPanel?

Backup your website before you do anything.

Login cPanel or whatever control panel you have, and goto PHPMyAdmin.

Click on your WordPress database and then click on SQL. Paste the following command after you update it according to your info:

UPDATE prefix_comments SET comment_author='NewName' WHERE comment_author='OldName';

Replace “prefix” with your current database “prefix”, replace NewName with the new name you want to use and replace OldName with your legal name exactly as it shows in comments.

You can ask the new host to transfer your website from the old host. Most web hosts do it for free and all they need is your account login details at the old host.

If you want to do it yourself, there are few ways to do it but I recommend contacting your new host first!

* You will need to copy your website “files” to your computer using FTP.

* You will need to copy your website “databases” to your computer using PHPMyAdmin.

PHPMyAdmin can be found in your old host control panel such as cPanel, DirectAdmin…etc

Why not move your WordPress blog from the old domain to the new domain, then redirect the old domain to the new one.

Also, this might be considered “duplicated content” by search engine spiders and might get your sites penalized.

Doesn’t matter much if your the account owner or not, simply open a support ticket and ask them to install WordPress for you ??

Did you setup a database and a user for that database?

404 Errors can be due to many reasons and your best option is to contact 1and1 support as it will be easier for them to look into it and solve it.

I think the image descriptions are stored in the database and that’s where you should delete it if its a huge number of images.

I recommend you backup your entire website before doing such changes.

What changes are you trying to run?

The command is working fine, maybe you need to install wget command first:

yum install wget

Its seems PHP is not installed on your web server or its turned off.

You need to contact your hosting provider to fix it and if its unmanaged vps/server, then you need to install PHP on it.

What’s the website URL?

Login with FTP and change your “plugins” folder to “old_plugins”, then see if the site white screen is gone.

If nothing happens, go to /wp-content/themes/ folder and rename your active theme folder, then test the site again.

Check the Error Logs in your hosting control panel and post the latest errors here.
