In reply to: [Hemingway] Remove the black box in front of the header imageI can’t make this work with the above mentioned css method.
When I remove the header-inner section from header.php, the height of the header shrinks and cuts off some of the top and bottom of the header image. Can someone help? ??Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: How do I put adsense between nav bar and page titlei just noticed that too.
i added it to the index.php and have for sure saved it correctly. i added the code through the wp admim then to make sure, i went and looked at it through ftp and it was there, so it’s definitely saved in the index.php.
i have looked in other files and can’t find that code anywhere else, only in the index.php.
is there somewhere else i also need to add it to?

.htaccess exists already but had nothing in it except #BEGIN and #END.
i have added the code but still no luck.the page was showing up fine until i played with the .php but i’ve changed it back to the original and it’s still messed. so frustrating.

went to settings > permalinks but couldn’t find anywhere to simply turn off permalinks.
under the permalinks settings, the only option i have is to change the common settings (default, day and name, month and name, numeric, default). i changed between all of these but it didn’t help.am i looking in the wrong place to turn off/on permalinks?
