Hi Michael,

I would like to add a link to comment with comment count to my posts that appear on the home page. Is there a way to do this using a plugin or CSS? I would prefer not to edit the content.php file if at all possible because I am not using a child theme.

Hi, would you happen to know what plugin or CSS I could use to include a link to the comments on the homepage posts? At the very least I was hoping the homepage posts could show the number of comments already left on the post, or ideally, a link would open a menu allowing the user to leave a comment directly from there, without having to open the post.

I am using the default Twenty Seventeen theme.

Nevermind, I found a workaround to get my social icons in the menu bar. Thank you very much for your assistance, could not have done it without you!

Yes, I did try that previously but I need them to be within my main menu bar. Would you happen to know if there is a way to do that in the 2017 theme? (I am also going through all the discussions in the 2017 theme forum on this too).

Hi Sheriziya, I’m having the same problem – would you mind letting me know which plugin you installed that works? I was using Menu Social Icons but it is not compatible with 4.7 and was causing me other issues.

Thank you – it was the Menu Social Icons (which is outdated) which is unfortunate because I need that for my menu social links. I have disabled the plugin which resolves my initial issue – thank you again!

Would you happen to know how I could change the social media links in my menu bar to be icons instead? I was using the Menu Social Icons plugin (which worked great for that), however it corrupted other fonts and icons on my site therefore I had to remove it. I specifically want the social icons to be right justified and within my menu bar.

Hi Steve,

The only ‘Font Awesome’ plugins I was able to find are listed below. I installed/activated each one on their own, and none of them resolved the issue.

Font Awesome Icons Version 3.2.1
Not compatible/tested with Twenty Seventeen

Better Font Awesome Version 1.6.0
Not compatible/tested with Twenty Seventeen

I verified that both versions I had installed are the latest versions.
