In reply to: Which is better?I was thinking the same thing about the ip method. The password thing does seem to be the best way to go.

In reply to: Password Attempt Plugin?1. I didn’t post this in another thread. I posted a different question about what is the best method for protecting posts (not if there is a plugin to see if people are trying to crack the password.)
2. I understand it is a publishing tool – I haven’t forgotten this. I do publish my blog.
3. I obvioulsy am not the only person who wants to protect certain things. If I was, there wouldn’t be a password protect option. I have my reasons for wanting to post some things on the web, but keep them away from certain people. Is this a support forum or is this a place for people to completely bash those of us with questions?
I added the ‘modlook’ tag because your response would fall under this rule…
“Posts which are destructive in nature. To put it basically, if you cannot say anything positive or helpful, or provide pointers that can assist the original poster, and do so in a constructive manner – then do not post.”
Responses like that make people like me with genuine questions feel very uncomfortable seeking help.

In reply to: Catagory archive listingsI figured it all out. In case someone has the same questions, heres what I did…
I had to create a category.php page
I edited it to show category title, category description then post title (with perma link) and post date. You can see a category page here…
https://heather-anne.com/category/daily/For the posts per page, I used this plugin…
https://rephrase.net/miscellany/05/perpage.phps
And it did exactly what I wantedForum: Plugins
In reply to: Trouble with the Contact form ][ -pluginI don’t know about this plugin so I’m just guessing here. Do you have to create a redirect page? Are you recieving the mail? Are you running the “wp-cache?? plugin? It says on the Contact form ][ plugin page
“The “wp-cache?? plugin may cause problems with Contact Form ][ (and many other plugins).”
I used the pxs-mail plugin and it’s running great. You can see my mail form here – https://heather-anne.com/contact/

In reply to: Catagory archive listingsOK. I solved questions 1 and 3 by creating a category.php file but I still can’t find the code to display all posts in the category instead of three. I like having only three posts on my front page, but I want all posts listed on my category pages.
Any ideas?
