Wow a lot of info in that Child theme article. My head is spinning. I think I’ll catch my breath and read one more time.

There you go again. That’s what I originally was thinking before I was I ventured way off the subject. Let me read up on create a child theme for your customisations and the theme and toolbox. Yes, bring a foundation over and manipulate that. Brilliant!

This is what I have (home page is static and that’s where I started this whole deal, so any content is on the other tabs) – https://www.Vancaves.com

What I’d really like to have is something like this – https://www.hotrod.edu/

Hopefully I’m on the right path

Where have you been all my life. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do. Last Friday I knew nothing about this stuff so I’ve been on a crash course. I want to design a really cool page that looks like an actual web page, with color and the whole deal. So I make my page on the localhost. Plug that into my live site and then add text and what not.

Ok already to kick off another day. Question. On my site Vancaves.com
I made my front page static. Now do I need to do that on my wamp page as well or it really doesn’t matter?

Finally Sucess I got the wordpress into the wamp server. Awesome. JBUSCI Thanks for all your help. Now (tomorrow as my brain is fried) I need to go back and see just why I did all that ??
    Thanks again

Ok I’m in the Admin screen Of Wamp. I’m trying to find the “privledges tab” I hit users and there are 3 root and 2 any listed. There is a place to edit privledges there. At the bottom is a red (pink) warning that says

Your configuration file contains settings (root with no password) that correspond to the default MySQL privileged account. Your MySQL server is running with this default, is open to intrusion, and you really should fix this security hole by setting a password for user ‘root’.

I think that’s all the same thing?

Finally Success. Wholly cow I got the PhpAdmin open
Now I need to back track and remember why I’m doing this

Ok so I have that up in Note. Before I do something that could be terminal I just want to make sure.
So I delete the line ::1 localhost
Then I save it in Note?
I don’t want to mess up my whole computer (if that’s possible)
    Please advise and Thanks

Oh so that ::1 localhost is the problema?
Let me give it a shot.
I can fix machinery with my eye’s closed. If you ever need help with that please let me know ??

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    ::1 localhost

    127.0.0.1 localhost

    This part I mean

    I don’t see (#) that in there?

This is what is there before I change anything

    # Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
    #
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a ‘#’ symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    ::1 localhost

    127.0.0.1 localhost

Isn’t that what it’s supposed to be after I change it?

All this to customize a page? Well I guess if I want a great website I need all this eventually. Do you agree?
    And of course Thank You
