In reply to: [WooCommerce] WC 3.3: Issues with Categories displaying in ShopI had this issue with my live store (silly me for not testing the update on my localhost clone first) I’m using SG Grid theme which is a heavily modified child theme of its parent SG Window.
<br>
I’ve had to install a recent backup, which has undone a little recent work, but not too much luckily and that has fixed the problem for now, but prior to that my shop/homepage was displaying several individual product display thumbnails below the category displays I usually show on the front page.
My site is https://www.naughtytoy.co.uk (Caution!! NSFW link!!)Thanks yoha_duda. Since posting my comment, I’ve discovered a workaround for this issue in the form of another plugin Remove Dashboard Access It’s been recently updated and allows me to re-activate InSite without having to worry about my BuddyPress members messing around with the settings.
On that basis I’m going to mark this issue resolved (at least as far as I’m concerned) Although this workaround won’t work for owners of non-BuddyPress sites, who may need to allow dashboard access for users to edit their profile information.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Product Slider] not showing at allI have actually paid for the premium version as I needed the extra functionality, but now the slider doesn’t show (the free version I tried first worked fine) I’ve read the documentation on the developer’s site, but the instructions are sparse to say the least.
It gives the very basics of how to install, but there’s no troubleshooting info whatsoever.
It’s great that there are so many different options to configure the pro version, but without detailed instructions about what each setting actually does, I’m reduced to tedious trial and error methods.
If I eventually figure out how to do it on my own, I’ll return to this thread and update with specific details, but for now I feel like I’ve just wasted $19 on a product that seems technically excellent, but very difficult to actually use on my site.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BuddyInsta] Does each user need to get his own Client ID and Client Secret?I’ve got it working now thanks Y.Y. I eventually found the ‘Read me’ document in the plugin files and figured out where to find the authorisation link, but it would be great if you could change the text of the error message…
“Sorry,You have not authenticate yet.Please authenticate with instagram.”
…to add a hint about where you can do that. I’d recommend changing it to (something like)…
“Oops, you’re not connected to Instagram yet. Go to your profile settings, click on ‘Instagram’ and authorize the app.”
Which is what I did myself, I edited the text in the buddyinsta/fetch.php file to make it a little more informative, but apart from that it’s a fantastic plugin and I can now give it a glowing review, thank you.

In reply to: [BuddyInsta] Does each user need to get his own Client ID and Client Secret?This is the info I was looking for. It’s a great idea for a plugin and I’d love to have it on my site, but it’s pretty useless unless individual members can authorise the app with their own Instagram account directly from a link on their BuddyPress profile page. I installed to test it out and succesfully created an Instagram client ID & Secret, but when I tried to add to my own profile all I got was an error message
“Sorry,You have not authenticate yet.Please authenticate with instagram.”
With no further instructions of how to do this. For that reason I can’t use this app on my site at the moment, but I will check for future updates to see if this gets fixed.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WordPress Social Login] Custom icon shows in Firefox, but not in ChromeOops false alarm. The custom widget theme now works properly in Chrome as well. For some reason it seems to take a while for Chrome to display the widget correctly even after flushing site and browser cache, but once it does it looks great.
